This stay was one of the nicest ever! The place is really pretty and super comfortable. The showers are much better than they usually are at hostels. The roof terrace is gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff is delightful. The owner is a sweetheart and will be very helpful with anything you need. You won't find a better place to stay in Chaouen!

Had a beautiful stay at Baraka! The people there provided me with great tips on what to do and where to eat and even showed me around. Spent the night drinking mint tea and playing board games. Highly highly recommend this place to travellers, the facilities are great the location is perfect and it’s a beautiful building. Nicest place I’ve stayed and has some of the kindest staff + people staying. Thank you for the lovely stay

The staff were great and extremely helpful. The hostel is located in a convenient location for exploring, shopping and eating. A great chilled out rooftop as well to spend the late afternoons and evenings.

Hotel experience at a hostel price. The beds are comfortable, it's not crowded and the bathrooms are plentiful. What more can you ask for at a hostel? The owner provides the best breakfast I've had in Morocco, and any other hostel abroad. Overall, great stay and impeccably clean.

Nice enough hostel, some of the staff was stand-offish. Nice terrace, overall okay for a place to stay.

    Very Good

Unfortunately I experienced bed bugs too; 4-bed dorm. Manager handled it well; I wasn't charged for the accom. I understand these things can happen; I imagine presence of bed bugs would have a longer/worse effect on the business compared to the individual. For this reason I hope people still book to stay - perhaps in the private rooms, or just being vigilant of/checking your mattress/pillow/blanket if you know what to look for. The hostel is in a great location, breakfast was yum, cool rooftop

The room/hostel is very basic. The staff are nice and mean well, but they aren’t really helpful. I’m sure the construction will be done soon but it was very loud and didn’t really allow for afternoon naps when weather was really warm. No atmosphere, though. The terrace on the roof was great but not the most comfortable. If you just need a room, this place would be fine for you. But don’t expect much more.

Read the review that mentioned bed bugs. Kind of dismissed it because of the high average score. Found a bed bug on the first night. Killed him with my sandal. Did not get bitten by any others. Maybe they didn’t like my blood. The owner was using strong language (cursing) all the time and for me, that detracts from the atmosphere. And the lockers, while good for passports and money, are useless for anything like laptops as they are way too small. All in all I would not recommend this place
