Overview

At Hostel Beautiful 2, we're super easy to find as we're next door to the city's main train station. You'll also be in the historic centre of the city, so there are more than a few sights on your doorstep – our international staff will point you in the right direction and give you a free map. In the common room and café, you can sip on a real Italian coffee and FaceTime home using the free Wi-Fi. Heading upstairs? Our elevator will help you out with heavy bags.

Location

We're in a central neighbourhood, so you're in a great spot to start your adventures – between the Municipio I and Tiburtino districts. Can't wait to explore? Take the metro from Roma Termini station, a 2-minute walk away, for 2 minutes to the Colosseum, or 9 minutes to Ottaviano to find St Peter's Square and the Vatican just a 5-minute stroll away. Termini is Rome's main train station. From Ciampino airport, jump on the hourly shuttle bus for 52 minutes, or if you fly into Fiumicino, the non-stop FV train will have you at Termini in 32 minutes.

Rooms and Dorms

We hope staying with us will have you feeling like you're staying with a warm-hearted Italian aunt. Our mixed dorms and private rooms have individual wood-frame beds (no bunks here) with free linen. All the rooms have an en-suite, so a hot shower is just a few steps from your bed. We also have fresh towels for you to hire (saves you from bringing one along!).

Extras and activities

Whatever time you arrive, our friendly team will be at the 24-hour reception to welcome you. There's also a luggage room and security lockers to keep your bags in if you arrive early. Smelly socks? Use our launderette with washing machines a couple of doors down, where you'll also find our public computers to use while you wait – you can jump online for 30 minutes for free. Or bring a new read from our book exchange.

    Very Good

The room was nice, but to be honest I'm not sure if they change the bed sheets. I was in the room in some days that they were cleaning it up and there is no control to know if the guest still there or already did check out. They just tidy, also even after cleaning the bathroom it still smelling so bad. Other things was OK, for the price.

For me the location was super, close to Roma Termini, nice restaurants and facilities around (I went to coliseum and all the spots on foot - just Vaticano by train). The girl (receptionist) is nice but the guy always rusty. Breakfast (2€) so I preferred enjoy a special fresh panino in front of the Terminal (2,5€). No shared area, no water to buy, no food... in general, just to sleep, is ok. Could be cheaper. The cleaner staff left the things I dropped on my bed!

The location of this hostel was great - 2 mins walk from the central station and not far from the rest of the touristy places. Beds were comfortable - bathroom was maybe not the best. Lockers were really big so loads of room to dump your stuff! Not a bad place but maybe wouldn’t want to stay there for more than a few days.

Cons The lift was out of order. When checking in the staff did not tell the front door, the floor and the wifi passwords. Better ask for them if the staff forget to tell you. There is luggage storage after check-out which is 5 Euro/person. Pros The location is very convenient. It is secured. Other Can order breakfast when checking in which was 2 Euro/ person. It will include a cup of drink and a croissant in a cafe next to the hotel building .

The customer service at hotel beautiful was extremely poor, unlike any hostel we have stayed in. The staff (excepting 1 awesome gal) seemed unhappy to answer questions and did not tell us helpful information like how to enter the hotel (as the external door is locked and can only be opened using a code). Our room was clean and roommates were nice, but the hotel does not make it easy to create community and in fact seemed to discourage it.

This is the worst hostel I've been to in my entire life. I checked in and they promised to clean my bed. But when I'm back in the evening, there's no bed cover on my bed. I asked a guy in the receptionist and he told me that I'm being rude and he kicked me out. I didn't get back my money although I already paid for 2 nights (EUR30+) and didn't even sleep there yet. Please do not stay here.

I have never met more rude staff in all my years of travelling! For one night there was no water! No air con even though it stated air con and the WiFi never worked! Whenever I asked the staff for help they were so so rude, with the night shift man actually saying ‘stop annoying me, I don’t care if you have problems’ . Honestly anyone could just wonder into the hostel and it felt so unsafe. As a female solo traveller I was constantly on edge and that shouldn’t be the case in a hostel!

Honestly the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The man at the desk was clueless and gave me the wrong room key 3 times. I had booked a 6 bed mixed dorm and there was no meant to be anyone over 35 in shared rooms but there was a man of at least 40 in mine. I felt very unsafe my whole stay. Would not recommend ESPECIALLY for female travellers. Rooms/ bathrooms also felt unclean and uncomfy, scratchy beds and sheets. Also €2 for a towel which smelt unwashed. The only good thing is is location

Absolutely appalling. The worst hostel we have ever stayed in. Do not go here. Incredibly rude staff who blamed us for everything wrong with the hostel. No cooking appliances at all, no air-con, mould on the kitchen pans, fridge didn’t work, scratchy blankets. Only one bathroom for the room, so you can’t use the loo if someone’s in the shower. Extremely far from all sights, only good thing is it’s close to the station. Man at front desk followed every apology with ‘but it’s not my fault’.
