Excellent service, excellent location, very clean and quiet. The pillows and the bed could use a slight upgrade they are not very comfortable. Has no parking but you can leave the car in the street nearby, and when you arrive by car you should first put the location of "Santuario de la Santa Veracruz" and then the Hostel otherwise it's gonna send you through a street that doesn't allow cars anymore.

Casa Taxco is very central, a short walk to zocalo to the bus terminal and the main points of interest. The place is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Casa Taxco is run by the owners who make a great effort to provide the best service, one of the best hostels I have ever stayed. I do recommend it and would definitely stay again. Only recommendation would be to bring the modem to a more central place to get better wifi connection. Thanks to the hosts for a great stay.

    Fabulous

It is more like a one star hotel with two single bets in a spacious room. There are no security lockers- and teh cleaning staff is less than vigilant in the rooms, though the kitchen and living room is spacious, clean, and threr is a televiion. set and parlor. the kitchen is clean but minimal. The location is nearly perfect, and makes all the faults worthwhile. The staff is good, and cordial. It is near the square, but much quieter.

    Very Good

I was here during the down season, so my review is tainted by that. It’s a very fancy hostel with a nice kitchen and bathroom, and nice small dorms. I had the entire dorm to myself, which made it even better! But there was no one else when I was there, so atmosphere was lacking. Also, there was no drinking water on offer, no way to open the front door yourself (so you had to find the owners), no one spoke English of the staff, and I think I found bed bugs on the couch in the living room..

Its not a hostel, its a family home. No other guest for the 2 days we stayed but saw 10 different people coming in and out.. poor security. No one speaks a word of English, bathrooms had a terrible smell, no hot water, no potable water, didn’t feel comfortable in the common area, kitchen had an old meal rotting for 2 days, On our last morning the family started cleaning the house and having ridiculously loud, obnoxious conversations at 6am and made it impossible to sleep. Terrible value for $$.

Worst experience ever in a hostel. I felt very unsafe during the whole night and I was able to sleep only for a few hours. The guy responsible at night smelled like alcohol very strongly. He knocked on my door several times at night saying that there was a call for me. After a while, I picked up the call and I was threaten by some mexican guys. I had an awful night. Moreover there isn't any kind of atmosphere or vibe. We were only two guests at the hostel. Don't stay here!
