Steps away from the Church, center of the city. It is a very clean place. We stayed in the one room with a private bathroom. The wifi only works in the community area/kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials such as oil, spices, and all the pots/pans/dishes/cups one would need. I'd definitely stay here again. I chose the Meh expression for staff because there was always different people running the front desk and although polite, not overly friendly.

Hostal very well located, just a few steps from Saint Prisca and about 10 minutes from the bus station. Clean, quiet and pleasant. Friendly and helpful staff.

Casa Taxco is very central, a short walk to zocalo to the bus terminal and the main points of interest. The place is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Casa Taxco is run by the owners who make a great effort to provide the best service, one of the best hostels I have ever stayed. I do recommend it and would definitely stay again. Only recommendation would be to bring the modem to a more central place to get better wifi connection. Thanks to the hosts for a great stay.

    Fabulous

Loved my stay in Hostel Casa Taxco! Very cute. A lovely place to rest your head and chill out. Not so much a super social environment, but I think that's normal for Taxco. Be prepared to walk up a few very steep hills to get to the hostel! The staff are very accommodating, but dont speak much English so practise a little before you go if you're not fluent.

    Fabulous

Really nice, comfortable common areas, and TV with great channel selection for watching foreign football games were notable. Nobody else was here during my short stay so I'm unable to comment on the social vibe - I don't think Taxco gets a lot of backpackers. WiFi is solid but the signal doesn't extend to the dorms in back, and the bathroom was missing a shower curtain (!) so that water would get all over the floor. Please get a shower curtain and floor mat for the bathroom. Thanks!

I stayed there just for one night with a couple of friends. The location si great but a little bit difficult to get there by car, in fact almost impossible. The matraces were not the most confys but they were ok. The kitchen is great if you want to cook something for your self, which we did not and there is drink water, staff is nice and helpful.

    Fabulous

It is more like a one star hotel with two single bets in a spacious room. There are no security lockers- and teh cleaning staff is less than vigilant in the rooms, though the kitchen and living room is spacious, clean, and threr is a televiion. set and parlor. the kitchen is clean but minimal. The location is nearly perfect, and makes all the faults worthwhile. The staff is good, and cordial. It is near the square, but much quieter.

Extremely quiet in the hostel, but that's a personal thing. I'm travelling solo and prefer more of a sociable place. Ideal location!

Its not a hostel, its a family home. No other guest for the 2 days we stayed but saw 10 different people coming in and out.. poor security. No one speaks a word of English, bathrooms had a terrible smell, no hot water, no potable water, didn’t feel comfortable in the common area, kitchen had an old meal rotting for 2 days, On our last morning the family started cleaning the house and having ridiculously loud, obnoxious conversations at 6am and made it impossible to sleep. Terrible value for $$.
