Hostelworld says

Hostelworld guests say Hostel Estoril is in the 'perfect location to avoid the hectic atmosphere of places like Florida Av while still being close enough to all the other goodies'. It's located on Avenida de Mayo, just down the street from the National Congress. This is a comfortable, safe and relaxed hostel where 'you can meet loads of amazingpeople and at night you can drink vino on the roof under the stars', according to our travellers. We like the views from their rooftop bar.

Property Description

Estoril has proudly been an independent hostel for the last 13 years, without being part of any worldwide chain or local franchise. We really like to think that our most important asset might be our personal guest care. We love what we do!

Our hostel is housed in a beautiful 100-year-old building located within walking distance of great restaurants and many of the key sights. From here you will easily reach Florida Street, the Obelisk, the Colon Theater, Congress, the Presidential Residence (aka Casa Rosada), La Boca, San Telmo, Recoleta and each barrio of Buenos Aires that you’ll want to visit. Bus and subway stops can be found just metres from the Hostel!

We have small amenities that make all the difference; for instance, our internet and Wi-Fi connections are as fast as it gets in Buenos Aires.

There is heating and air conditioning in rooms and common areas.

We’ve got a bar upon on the rooftop in case you want to socialize, a delicious breakfast to start your day, Spanish lessons to communicate with locals, travel guides to plan your trip, tourist info to help you explore the city, a huge plasma TVs with Netflix and comfy couches in both living rooms, ideal when you want to relax after a long day.

Of course, our most important feature is the people staying with us.

Every single guest booking at Hostel Estoril will have exclusive access to the building's rooftop terraces, bar and BBQ area in the spectacular heights of Buenos Aires, surrounded by a unique, amazing urban scenery. You will meet other travellers, enjoy a delicious BBQ or have a drink and relax under the stars.

This hostel is great! There is a great atmosphere and if you stay there longer, the staff treats you like family. The reception is open 24 hours and they are always ready to help you out with anything you need. I stayed there during winter, so it was cold, but they have heating in the rooms and the living room. And always hot water in the showers. There is also a small space where you can sit and work. Only minus: a lot of noise from the street, so just remember earplugs.

The hostel is on the corner on busy road in centre of town so great location but there is quite a bit of traffic noise. Staff were very helpful and friendly. As it's a small hostel, easy to meet other guests even when staying in private room. Everyone very friendly at breakfast.

Good value for your money! Got a giant private room for about 35 USD. The room was clean, warm, had easy access to the bathroom and kitchen, and the bed was pretty comfortable. Great staff and good social environment. My only complaint is that the WiFi did not work at all. There is a Starbucks with great wifi down the street, however. Also, great location!

Very good base to get around and see Buenos Aires. Clearly in the off season and lacking atmosphere, yet there was a large living room to chill in. Very functional- does a useful job for you to see the city.

One of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed at, aside from the location and rooftop terrace, I would not recommend this hostel. Electricity went out during both nights (one night it was out for over 3 hours. we were the only building in the area that didn’t have lights. It was unbearable without the AC) Only three bathroom for the entire flower, which we’re often gross. Have to make you own bed, which were not comfortable. Breakfast is day old stale bread, juice and milk. Spend money elsewhere.

Overall this hostel was fine. Breakfast is basic. The beds are comfortable but they do require you to put your own sheets on the bed. I had booked a 9 bed mixed dorm and was put in a 4 bed . My real issue was with one of the staff members who was incredibley rude and patronising to me when I was checking out. They had me in the system as staying four nights when I only stayed two and then tried to overcharge for the two. Very frustrating and the staff was disrespectful to me. Would not reccomend

Hostel Estoril says

I think what makes us special is the personal care we offer. Since this is a small hostel, our aim is to create the feeling of a 'home away from home', and we do it with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our receptionists work 24/7 to make our guests feel comfortable, calling them by their names, giving advice about places to visit or activities to do and helping them choose their next destination.
When our guests want to have fun, they can go to the rooftop to have a drink and listen to music any time during the day or at night. We also organize daily activities such as tango shows, bike tours, weekly barbecues, day trips and free walking tours.
If I had to choose a local place to recommend, it would be Colon Theatre. I think it's stunning.
This is not a party hostel; it is ideally suited for young travellers (from 21 to 35) who want to meet people and have fun but also to relax and rest properly at night. Wendy, Reservation Agent
