The room was well kept and it was really warm. The staff was really nice and they served a really nice breakfast in the morning. Good location which was super close to the squares and the witches market.

I love hostel Journey, it became like a second home for me and my friends while staying in La Paz for a week. Located on the edge of gringo trail a block away from the main Plaza in town, surounded by tour companies. The hosts at the hostel were super welcoming, the beds were warm, showers were hot and wifi was good. The only complaint is the lack of atmosphere, and the unfortunate proximity of the toilets to the kitchen.

The staff are lovely and the location excellent. I found the bed very comfy and loved the down duvets. The communal space is very small and so are the bathrooms. I had a 2 bunk room as a private to myself which was just right space wise. Overall good price value and you can ask for an electric heater for the cold evenings. No regular heating provided and the "hot" water is lukewarm however this is a common issue in South America and not particular to this hostel.

The location is great, right at the start of Sagarnaga street, and the hostel is a little, tranquil place with just a handful of rooms. The staff was always very friendly and helpful, they even gave us the room before checkin times because it was ready. Our twin double room was quite small but had a shelf and storage, and the beds were comfy. The bathrooms/showers are pretty small too, which is not very comfortable, but the hot water worked very well, which we learned to value on our trip.

Pros: Really liked the location near the witches markets, lots of nice cafes and restaurants around, free basic breakfast (fruits, bread, jam), wifi decent, lockers available and some beds have charging points Cons: very cold at night, bathrooms could be cleaner, hot water very hit and miss

We used La Paz as our homebase in Bolivia and each time we came back to the city we stayed at Hostel Journey. The staff were accommodating and nice, the stay was comfortable, breakfast wasn’t fancy but did the job and the location was great!

The breakfast is honestly amazing. You have bread, plenty of fruits, amazing jam and a big selection of tea and coffee. The beds are soooooo comfortable! The duvet covers are warm and cozy. I would definitely recommend staying there! It’s close to everything. I would have stayed longer if I could.

Lovely little hostel in a great location in La Paz. Had nice little touches like a selection of tea and coffee always available, fruits in the morning and occasionally pancakes for breakfast if you’re lucky. There is also a large heater which was very welcomed in the cold evenings. Dorms are small but cosy and clean and the staff (although didn’t speak any English) were very friendly and helpful. Only thing I can fault is the lack of social space. Would recommend this place.

The location is great, and the staff were very nice. But overall the hostel was kind of grubby, the toilets never seemed to be clean and gave you absolutely no privacy! Breakfast was never served on time either! The dorms were very cramped and dark.
