This hostel is so cute and cozy! The kitchen is well equipped and the location is great! The owners do live a few houses down, but check-in is still very straightforward so it’s really not a problem. They were super helpful in explaining hikes and activities in El Chalten. WiFi throughout the entire town is lackluster so don’t expect much anywhere.

Great hostel! The location is fantastic if you're planning to hike. It's not right in the center of town (though the town is tiny, so it's only about 15 mins to the bus station), but it's like 20 steps to the Laguna Torre trailhead and maybe 15 mins to the Laguna de los Tres. The beds are comfortable, showers great, tons of social space, good kitchen. No problem leaving our stuff after checkout until our 6PM bus. The owners are super nice and gave us lots of info about the town at check-in.

Nice and helpful stuff. Clean and warm bed along with hot shower. Maybe add some little kitchen appliances, but still ok to cook something very basic.

Amazing location of the hostel - right near the trail head to Laguna Torres. Super spacious rooms with lockers. Only downside was the kitchen could do with a bit more equipment/crockery to make self-catering easier.

No staff in the hostel. If you need something you have to the owners house 50 meters away. The bathroom door didn't lock

This is a fairly small hostel & it started off very unfriendly because of 2 rude people, but then as the people changed it became a place with a very friendly & chatty atmosphere! The kitchen is small - the cooker is in the corner & the gas hobs don’t work well which means it’s difficult for more than one person to cook at a time. Overall the kitchen could be better equipped, but also someone stole the tin opener, things like this don’t help. The showers are hot - perfect after a long hike!

It’s nothing fancy but it’s a perfect base if you’re just in town to trek. Awesome location, plenty of space inside and the owners live up the road so they’re not breathing down your neck all day. Very good value for money, especially in peak season when everything else was ridiculous.

Pros: The location is really good, near the trailhead of Laguna Torre and not too far from town. Laid back atmosphere. Showers are decent. Rooms are quite spacious. Cons: kitchen is a bit small and not well equipped. It’s a bit basic for the money, basically a shared house with other hikers!

    Very Good

Fine for a place to stay. Right at the Cerro Torre trail head. Nothing fundamentally wrong with the accommodation, but nothing extraordinary about it either. Biggest annoyance is that it only has one combination bathroom (toilet, shower) per floor for the guests, so had to wait a while at times. Would be a pain if the hostel was full. When we were there, no one manned the hostel, don't know if it the same in high season.
