I was lucky enough to stay alone in the 8-bed dorm, so I really enjoyed my stay. Though if the room had been full, I would understand the criticism here, as it does have a boarding school feel to it. The bathrooms have just been renovated, the kitchen/common space is huge and clean, and the older lady at the reception is very friendly and speaks at least Estonian, English, Finnish and Russian. It's a good place to stay in Pärnu.

On a whole I had a lovely stay at this hostel. The beds are lovely and comfy, the bathrooms are clean and modern and the location is really good. However, if you are looking for a hostel with atmosphere this isn’t it, it is very quiet, almost school dorm feeling.

Quite basic but not bad for the price. Kitchen seemed quite well-equipped but would be difficult to prepare food at busy times as it's very small

Stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom, and very much enjoyed it. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax that's close to the center of Pärnu and to the beach (15 min walk through parks, beautiful!) then this is the place for you. If you're looking to party/meet people or if you're suuper fussed with cleanliness, then maybe you should find another place. Bedroom was clean, but the kitchen needs more attention, bathrooms ok but one toilet consistently smelled a bit. Staff was nice!

Hostel was well located and the exterior is really nice. Was quite empty when I was there (I only saw 3 other guests) who were not talkative so no atmosphere at all. If you are into ‘creepy’ hostels - this is for you. If you want atmosphere and people, check out other hostels :)

Good enough for a night's stay but this place is creepy. Long dark hallways, beds set up oddly and you just feel like you're in an asylum or something. Very dated and tiny kitchen. Staff a little odd.

Agree with other poor reviews. This hostel needs a thorough sanitizing and deodorizing, it stinks everywhere. Heating doesn’t kick on until it’s quite cold in rooms. Mediocre breakfast. Dark hallways, generally creepy. I don’t typically move if I have a short stay, but I did this time; found a much better price for the same accommodation in a spotless, charming guesthouse closer to the beach.

This place feels like an abandoned insane asylum, I was surprised to find out it was actually an abandoned soviet hospital. The staff were rude, the single beds feel like there have been there since soviet times. The large window blew open in a storm scaring the shit out of us. If there is any common room or facilities they are keeping them secret and would not talk to anyone long enough for them to find out.
