Amazing place! The area is astonishingly beautiful and there are more hikes and quiet natural areas within walking distance than you can shake a stick at, very few other people too. I don't think I'll ever lose the memories I made here thanks to the amazingly gracious Pablo and his cosy hostel.

I don't always trust 10/10 ratings but this place deserves it. Beautiful location surrounded by lakes and mountains, a very homely and rustic place to stay. The owner J gave us recommendations, drove us around and is always up for a chat. A great spot to totally disconnect and enjoy Argentina's stunning scenery! I will definitely be back.

This is my first review of a hostel. Go to this place. Had a great chilled short stay here in between Bariloche and El Chalten, and like others have said I would have extended my stay without hesitation had I not already booked my bus out of El Bolson. Very refreshing place if you've been hostel hopping for a while.

Thank you so much to Juan and Juli for such a lovely stay at Luz Clara. There are great hikes to do straight from the hostel or from the local towns. Juan went out of his way to make sure that the distance from shops and bus stops weren't an inconvenience. He explained the lay of the land to make it easier to hike in the area. The kitchen was lovely along with the outdoor area. Bathrooms were always clean with soap and toilet paper in supply. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

'Hostel' is a weird word to describe this place. I'd try - a house of nature, a residence of peace, a home for relaxation. This place is very well connected with the nature that surrounds it - with the owner's goats jumping around, the big windows in every spot and the stream that runs nearby. Upon arrival, Juan introduced to me the available tracks nearby - all by using Google Earth. Super cool and effective! Super recommended. Have a great time!

Hands down the best hostel we have stayed in during our South America trip! Juan was the nicest host and couldn’t do enough to help with transport and activities, despite it being low season. Such a peaceful place to stay and appreciate the surroundings. We just wish we could have stayed longer!

Absolutely loved our stay in this cozy, chill hostel with the kind of shared community vibe that makes you feel right at home from the minute you arrive. Impeccably clean, best kitchen hostel I've ever used. The only thing to note is the location was perfect for us because we had a rental car, and you can use bike rentals at the hostel but the location is 20 km from El Bolson, so keep that in mind. Would 100% return in the future and stay here again. Thanks for everything, Juan!

Originally booked for one night but ended staying for four. Atmosphere was great, lovely volunteers who truly went out of their way to help and integrate us into the hostel environment. Gave us several lifts to el bolson/the supermarket and helped us book bus tickets. Cosy fire every night, in particular a taco night which involved the whole hostel eating together and delicious homemade food. Kitchen and toilets both excellent! Would’ve stayed longer if we could! Go here!! 🙌🎉🏔🍻💃❤️💎
