This was the most evocative, pristine, calm and EXCELLENT stay of our 3 week Camino. A newly (2017) and lovingly restored monastery, a lovely walk from Muxía. XI c. With church outside the door. Still undiscovered, we were 3 of 7 our rainy night. Do it.

What a gem of a place. I loved staying here. After three weeks of incessant Camino crowds it was amazing to be the only people at this beautifully restored and spotlessly clean ex-monastery. Wonderful sleeping quarters with duvets, pillows and privacy curtains. Delicious artisanal bread for breakfast. My only feedback is they need a kettle, to set the thermostat for the showers a little hotter and an after hours care taker who can speak a tiny bit of English.

It was perfect for me. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful setting, a lovely short walk to a beautiful beach. The staff were warm and friendly. The place was very clean, well kept, and spacious. The only thing that needs to improve us the plumbing. The shower water drained very slowly and the bathroom often smelt like there was a blockage! The walk into Muxia is a beautiful walk and worth taking. All in all a wonderful place to stay.!

My husband and I were the first customers at the Monasterio. It is a magical looking place. However, there were many problems. The registration is all done on a machine. The 'greeter' spoke zero English and he is the only one on the property so communication with this person was impossible. Until all the work is completed this place should not be open. NOT a stress free stay. Eventually this place will be awesome.
