My time here was absolutely awesome. The staff and guests were friendly and helpful, and there was always something communal going on every night and day that suited people of all personality types and interests. I had sooo much more fun than I thought I would. Location was great. Plus something I really appreciated was it's drop off laundry services. Plenty of bathrooms and clean facilities as well. Free dinner was a great opportunity to meet other guests!

Absolutely loved staying here so much that I didn’t leave when I was meant to. The atmosphere was great and staff were lovely. Great places to hang out in the common area and free dinner on an evening was a bonus! Drinking games weren’t the best but the atmosphere was good enough to drink and make friends anyway. Definitely recommend wine tasting if you get the opportunity as one of the day activities it’s in a lovely location outside of the city. Can’t wait to come back, hopefully as staff!

I had the best time at Hostel One Basilica. It truly made my stay in Budapest incredible. The staff was wonderful but David Stewart really went out of his way to make me feel welcome. The community dinners were a fantastic way to bring everyone together and the daily and nightly outings were top notch. The perfect place for a solo traveler!

Great Hostel. Very Fun. Great for partying, site seeing, and energy. Probably not great for R and R. Pretty young crowd for the most part.

One of their staffs has integrity and was really responsible. She admitted that she overcharged me, and gave me the refund. One time, some staff moved my bed without me knowing. My stuffs were gone, totally had(still do) no idea where my stuffs were. The only thing that was on my bed, was someone else. She took responsibility and gave me another options for my stuffs. She also moved me to a private room. But I was completely disappointed that the hostel gave my bed to someone else.

    Very Good

Great location, but overall atmosphere was a tad odd. It was nice that the hostel sponsored trips to the ruins bars, but the pregame in the common room was odd because the game that was played was forcing people to take their clothes off. Bathrooms were a little weird too, as the shower walls were held up by chains to the ceiling and were super flimsy. There were crumbs on my bed when I checked in. The location was fantastic though, staff were nice and cooked dinner for us for free.
