It takes about 35 minutes from outside the main terminal to the Deák Ferenc tér stop where you get off. We've also laid on computers, hairdryers and tea and coffee so you don't have to dig into your wallet. If you need a towel, padlock or the laundry facilities there's a small fee. The elevator means you don't have to heave your backpack up any stairs!

When we arrived to the hostel, we meet Mauro, and since that moment, everything was like a dream. The staff is absolutly amazing. The location is perfect. They make beautiful vegetarian/vegans dinners for all the guest just for free, making it a nice oportunity to chat and meet new people. The atmosphera is fantastic. The rooms and comfortables. The hostel is always clean, and the cleaning staff was nice with us as well, helping us with something that we have losed. I will recommend this hostel!

Amazing location, right in the centre of all that is happening in Budapest. I felt so welcome and at home from the second I walked in the door until I had to leave. I was very surprised to hear that the hostel gave us all a "family dinner" every night and it was a wonderful way to bond with other hostel guests over a lovely home made meal. I also liked that there were so many bathrooms / toilets. This is a great hostel for meeting fellow travellers and to experience the Budapest night life.

Great Hostel, very warm and welcoming environment. Wouldn’t say it’s a party hostel, it’s more low-key, family feeling, but with plenty of social opportunities. I met some amazing people in my room and the staff were lovely. Only thing I would say is it would be better if the vegetarian option for dinner could be made vegan. I felt kinda excluded because I couldn’t join in on the free dinner.

Hostel One has honestly given us the best experience from all our hostel experiences so far. The staff were incredible and it was such a social place for people to get to know each other. They planned amazing activities every night and the free dinner were a fantastic opportunity to get to know other people. Also the location was perfect as it was close to the metro and other tourist attractions. For sure, would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Budapest.

Hostel One Basilica is very centrally located, and was within easy walking distance of almost all the major attractions. The staff and the other guests were all very friendly, and there were a lot of opportunities to get to know other people. There were enough bathrooms for all the guests, although some of them were kind of musty smelling. The entrance to the hostel is a little sketchy, but once inside, it is quite lovely and nice.
