Property Description

The idea of this project was born when traveling in Argentina. I realized how important it is to feel "home away from home". Once back, my brother and I, with the help of our whole family opened LaTapera Jeri Cama & Cafe, a place where everyone can feel like home.
We invite you to stay at the Ferreira house in Jericoacoara. Pay attention, you will see fruits from out mothers garden in the refrigerator, our surfboards on the ceiling, our mother in law sowing at the entrance of the rooms, and the cafe of our sister in law next to the inn!
We and our staff will be happy to welcome you, share life stories and to advise you to make your stay here in paradise unforgettable.
We see you soon,

Good location in the main street close to the main square , full breakfast (natural juice, bread, several tapioca options, fruit salad,...). Hostel clean and bed with cortina for more privacity in the dorm.

Great hostel, chill vibe. You’re free to bring drinks and food there— has a very homey vibe. The beds were pretty comfy and had curtains which is a big plus. Free breakfast next door everyday too. I would definitely stay again!

This is the ideal place for a backpacker, everything was perfect (bed, bedrooms, amazing breakfast). My only no so great experience was that a couple of times I tried to communicate with the lady that cooks the breakfast and she literally told me that if I didn't know Portuguese I couldn't talk to her. I dont speak perfect Portuguese, my mother tongue is Spanish, but so far I've been communicating with every Brazilian just fine, not sure if she was too busy to try to listen. All others were fine

    Very Good

The hostel is really nice, don't let the sand put you off! The beds are comfy and have curtains which is always a nice tough. Mauricio the owner speaks English too which is super helpful, he also helped us organise our transport from Jeri to Fortaleza airport. The only downside was the atmosphere, and only in the sense that we didn't meet many other backpackers but this I put down purely to pot luck. The hostel had many people it just wasn't a backpacker crowd during our stay!

I am really surprised by the reviews here as I booked this hostel based on these reviews. This hostel is definitely one of the worst I had. We booked a private room , the room was far and outside the hostel and so we couldn’t catch the WiFi , besides there was no water in our shower! The stuff was the worst part ! They weren’t nice neither helpful at all! For the breakfast we had a very small portion of eggs not even enough for one person! I would NOT recommend this hostel.

I got to the hostel at 4 am on the 2/2, while have a reservation for the same say. While its obvious no one would check me in at that hour, i asked to stay in the common area with my friend (who also had the same reservation) untill the check in since we didnt have anywhere else to go. The receptionist was very rude and told us we can only come at 2pm, so we had to stay outside at 4am untill 2pm! The workers were very rude even while staying in the hostel and very unavailable. Very unrecommended

Wearrived at the hostel around 2 in the afternoon and were held in the lobby for an hour while the room wasn’t ready yet.We were met by a very rude man in the reception,he was unwelcoming and unpleasant at all hours. We needed a place to put our things after our checkout for a few hours and were rudely waved off after being told it wasn’t his problem anymore. The only thing nice about the hostel was the breakfast, but after spilling boiling coffee on me and not apologizing it wasn’t worth it at all
