Hostel Roma was in PRIME location! You really get the feel of Rome city living. Host was extremely friendly and helpful with advice on excursions and best sites to visit when. Our trip was early/mid July and the no AC made evenings/nights difficult. Overall, stay was great.

Like your grandmother's cottage in a village with all pros and cons. May be not very clean and bathroom certainly remembers Duce Mussolini ;) but for it's price and location it's worth to consider!

Great location, about 10 minutes walk from Termini station and not far from the Roman Forum, Colsseum etc. Only facilities available were the bathrooms and a fridge but there were fairly clean. The rooms had fans but it was still very hot (late July). I didn't have a problem with my bed but one if my roommates said he could feel insects in his. Overall, it's a pretty cheap hostel in a good location so you get what you pay for

The hostel was old, but clean. It has only one bathroom with shower, and another without shower, sometimes was dificult to go. We stayed in room with 7 persons, there was some noise during the night. The room didn't have blinds, so at 6am the room is light. the beds didn't have individual lights, and didn't have curtains for more privacy in beds. there were only few eletrical outlets. one for two beds. The room didn't have key either lockers.

The hostel is very well located, but this is the only good thing. They don't have a appropriate reception and other services, there is only one bathroom with two shower, if the place gets full is really hard to use one of the bathrooms. The lights in the rooms doesn't work very well. If you are looking for a value for money place with a good location, you can go ahead.

Only do this hostel if it’s last second and you ABSOLUTELY need a place to stay. The extra tax in the beginning wasn’t even the worst part. A cockroach was on me 5 mins into my stay, the restrooms were dirty and the shower heads to low for anyone over 4 feet tall, the crack in our door was so wide everyone in the hostel could see us sleeping. The manager was creepy and entering our room without notice when we were gone, room itself was so hot that it was impossible to rest. Don’t stay in summer

Not only is the owner a liar, claiming he only takes cash but then taking my card, but he doesn’t do much other than watch TV in the back room. The place is filthy and a sad excuse for a hostel— it’s just a converted apartment. There is no security, rooms don’t lock and no lockers for your things. If you’re looking to do Rome cheap, look anywhere else but here.. I left early because I hated it so much.
