Very nice and quiet place to stay in San Marcos, the private rooms make you feel really comfortable and centered. You can do your laundry by hand in the garden and it's close to pretty much everything.

A very nice stay in a relaxing town by the Lake. The hostel is close to the water taxi drop off and within a moments walk of all the shops/amenities of the town. The staff are nice enough and helpful when needed. The rooms were clean and we didn't have any issues with bed bugs which was fantastic, and the bathrooms are cleaned every day. The internet only reaches the main communal area by reception but let's be honest you aren't going to need it as you'll be out most of the day anyway.

    Very Good

It was good value for our money. The staff spoke little English so it was hard to communicate for anything that you needed if you didn’t speak much Spanish. The person who appeared to be in charge seemed a little disinterested in improving the atmosphere of the hostel and the facilities. Overall you get what you pay for. Awesome breakfast. Good location.

    Very Good

If you put a bed in a tent, it's the same level of cozy and privacy. The walls had holes and you could hear everything in the next room and the heat was not kept in the rooms either. It was cold at night. The WiFi was really terrible and barley worked. If someone was on a video call, no one else could do anything -and it didn't reach the rooms. Our room with bath didn't have a hot shower and employees told us that it doeant get hot- though the shared showers, got hot. Breakfast was tasty though

This is a place where you get what you pay for. The rooms were damp and the beds were covered in mosquitoes, often dead ones. The bed sheets are super old and could do with a replacement. The showers were cold and each individual bathroom smelt and was overall, uninviting. We were glad to have only booked one night here. A great location but I would pay more money to stay somewhere much nicer and more comfortable. There was also a mix up with payment which was eventually worked out...

This place is pretty terrible but if you’re looking for something cheap, then it’ll work fine. You definitely get what you pay for. I had a mountain of ants in my bed in my first room, asked to switch, still found a handful in the bed in my second room but didn’t care to switch again. The shower did not have warm water as I was told and the shower head broke, falling on my head and spraying water around the bathroom, soaking all my stuff. Not the greatest experience, but cheap.

The staff on the reception was uninterested in their guests and impolite. it seemed to us they don't have any idea of anything.

This hostel is nothing like described at all. You don’t keep you own key, the staff does and they leave at 9pm, so that is your curfew. We booked a 4 people dorm, but we were 6 people (and over 10 spiders without even looking for them) in there and two of us had to sleep on a shared mattress on the floor. The room and beds where not clean and there were no lockers. The WiFi sucked and doesn’t reach to the rooms. We were supposed to stay for 3 night but moved after 1

Owner treats the staff horribly. Rooms are basic and not fully sealed from the elements and have a mouldy smell. Stay elsewhere.

If I could close down this hostel, i would. Let me give you the rating if this was a prison on - in mate security 10/10 You do not have get the key to the dorm (I booked a 4 ppl dorm but there were 4 single beds plus a double mattress on the floor) night 1, the staff forgot I was the only person in the room and locked me in between 8pm to 8am. Night 2, the dorm had 6 people in it. On top of the above, no WiFi, no hot water, no locker, so you decide if you want to stay
