This has to be one of the bests stays I’ve had, you are instantly made to feel welcome - it was like a home from home :-) The hostel is bright and colourful with all the amenities kept really clean and the kitchen is fully equipped. There is a lovely outside courtyard where you relax and a rooftop terrace with amazing views... But what made this stay truly special was the owner and his wonderful sister who just brought character into the hostel with her energy (and help!) xxxx

Overall I liked the place, if the weather is nice there is a rooftop terrace to chill. Kitchen has all the facilities for cooking and all equipment needed. My only dislike that the guests are allowed to smoke in the patio, as the smoke is strongly felt indoors and in one of the rooms. Manfred is great host and a person nice to talk to.

Great hostel with very nice staff and vibes, such a shame that the Spanish douc h eb a g that was staying didn’t bring anything good and only made others run away. Owner should consider joining REAJ in order to avoid having issues with this kind of scum.

    Very Good

Lovely staff, house with a great rooftop. Not much sound insulation in the rooms (unless you get the double private room), and the hot water was inconsistent resulting in some scalding or chilly showers. Good for the price and on a charming street. Quite clean throughout and pleasant kitchen facilities.

    Very Good

Positives of the hostel: informed owner/manager, equipped kitchen, rooftop terrace, available gathering areas, close to bus stops. Need for improvement: cleaner bathrooms with better drainage, tidier spaces, newer furniture, more staff, hooks on the bathroom/bedroom walls. Orotava is a beautiful (albeit hilly) town, definitely worth exploring!

The hostel was quite empty and still the place was weary and dusty. The only staff person wasn't helpful. One of the guests in the dorm room had bed bugs, so I left this hostel as soon as possible afterwards. It might be okay in summer and when it is more crowdy, but this stay was one of the worst I had for a long time in hostels.

Really disappointed by this hostel . Nothing looks clean, everything looks greasy and dusty and has a smell that follows you around. The staff member was of no help and once he had given his 2 minute check in speech and collected the money he wanted no part of you. The bathrooms don’t have a place to wash your hands and the only shower is always busy and flooded. Location isn’t too bad being 5 minutes down to Orotava (30 minutes walk up hill) Had to leave due to bed bugs.
