Loved my 3 night stay. Literally across the street from the Laguna Torres trailhead. Made it quite easy to just roll out of bed and start stumbling down the trail before sunrise. There are a few lockers on the second floor, but it doesn't seem enough for each of the guests to have one. The kitchen is moderately well-equipped, though it's missing some essentials like bowls. Internet is as good as you'll get in El Chaltén. Clean rooms and bathroom. Hot water. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

Kaiken is a house and is, in my opinion, a better atmosphere than other hostel type accommodations.

The hostel is up the hill and a bit far (only 10 mins tho) from the main food and shopping drags. However it's right next to Laguna Torre hike entrance. The facilities are clean but basic. The kitchen is adequate, and it seems a good portion cooks. Stayed there six days and had a rotation of people come through, some ppl slept really early some did not. Only two bathrooms for 4 rooms, but accessing the shower was not a problem. During the day you'll find a couple of people milling around.

We had a great stay and met some great people. The showers had really hot water and there is plenty of space to sit down and enjoy your dinner. The only hard part was there is a long stretch of gravel road to get to the hostel. So unless you are carrying your luggage, rolling a luggage is not possible to get to the hostel as it is unpaved.

Wonderful hostel, plenty of space in the rooms. It is a little off the beaten track but the value for money makes up for that. Would definitely stay again 🙂

Located next to the trail head to Laguna Torre. A bit of a walk to the rest of town, but the town is very small so it's okay. Greta value.

Cute hostel but super bare basics. A couple rooms, a kitchen and dining space. The security consists of a door code, and only 4 small lockers for the whole hostel. Only 2 bathrooms in the hostel as well. Definitely great for just a space to cook and sleep between hikes.

Fine hostel, close to most of the trekking routes. The toilets where some of the most clean I have seen and the rest of the hostel was also quite clean. I could have wished for more chargers in the room - there was only 2 chargers in a room with four beds! The owners of the hostel was not that often around but they live a couple of hundred metres from the hostel.

Only two bathrooms for the whole hostel is too little and the location was a little out of the way, but still only a 5-10 minute walk out of the centre. Just a little inconvenient compared to everywhere else, although right next to the Lagoon walk entrance. Staff were friendly and comfortable beds.

Essentially four bed house with bunk beds. No onsite management (lives in house down the road), located outskirts of town on gravel road, rooms/bathrooms ok clean but kitchen run down and felt dirty - stove hardly worked & very few kitchen utensils. No nice place to hang out - eating area dark and cold, couple of couches in 'reception' area, but no outdoor seating. One main locking door, limited lockers. HAVE TO PAY CASH and ATMs limit 4000 so have to pay multiple bank fees to get out enough...
