It was a beyond expectation stay in Moku Moku. The location is convenient to wherever I needed to go, downtown Osaka or even to Kyoto. The staff was a very kind man. The hostel is very clean and organized in general. Newly furnished in a apparently very old house. We took a lot pictures here because everything looked so Japanese and peaceful. The gate system is very safe. And everything is very convenient inside of the house too including bathroom and electricity and cooking and SENTOU.

It was very nice. I enjoy to stay in this quiet area, but authentic. And the public bath experience was nice. You definitely must do it. The owner was very nice.

I chose this hostel because I was more interested in using the Shinkansen than being in the city of Osaka. My experience was very positive and the host very friendly. It seems great if you would like to experience suburban city life. After traveling, and after walking around, the neighbouring Sento was a great way to unwind. Would definitely recommend (but would warn you to prepare yourself if you prefer soft bedding) and have missed it since going elsewhere.

Nice building with a warm feeling. It's located near the Awaji Station, which makes us easier to travel. A lot of food vendors and a post office in the neighborhood, so it's def a plus. On top of that the owner is super friendly and helpful, he also offered the guests free pass to his parents Japanese bath house nearby.

The location is good, being minutes away by train to Osaka and Shin-Osaka. AC worked well. However, facilities are not equipped for 16 guests with only one shower. The staff were rarely present and two nights out of three a smoke detector with low life batteries beeped persistently. We informed the staff and they simply laughed. The “twin room with private en-suite” was not actually an en-suite, with toilets and sinks shared with 6 others. The room also had a pungent odour.

While the owner is a very nice and accommodating person, I really wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I’ve slept in much worst conditions backpacking to save a buck, but this place isn’t cheap. We paid almost $100 a night for the “en suite”. It wasn’t an en suite. Shared bathrooms and the beds were 2 thin futons on the floor with one pillow each (no pillow cases). The place did include bath house passes, but other than that its so far removed from anything a tourist would want to see in Osaka
