Open for more than twenty years, Hostel of the Sun has long been a favourite with travellers in Naples. Thanks to our great location, incredibly warm atmosphere, spacious and comfortable rooms and welcoming and friendly staff, Hostel of the Sun is also often voted amongst the best hostels in the world at the annual Hoscars awards.

As soon as you arrive at Hostel of the Sun one of our staff will sit down with you and explain everything there is to know about and do in Naples, including suggesting places to visit and the most delicious places to eat. We can help you plan out every moment of your stay in and around Naples.
You can enter in your room from 2:00 P.M., but we wait for you from 8:00 A.M. in case you want to leave your luggage with us.

We're is located in one of the safest part of the city centre, just a few steps away from the ferries for the islands and the bus for the airport. We are also a couple of minutes away from the bus station for Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast and Municipio metro stop.

We provide all the help you need to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Amalfi Coast, hike the Vesuvius as well as organising amazing boat trips around the beautiful coast of Naples.

Great atmosphere and feels very very safe in its location. Location is good as is next to the ferry terminal and is a short bus or train from the main train stations. Staff were great and the atmosphere was warm too. It was clean considering it is in an older building and the facilities were good enough.

I didn’t love this hostel. 7th floor of a random building, where you have to pay 10 cents to use the lift at certain times of day, which is just an annoying first impression when you arrive late w bags, don’t have cash with you, and it’s in free hours but someone in the building didn’t switch off the pay feature. You pay for water. Breakfast is from 8-10:30, handy if you wrote that on here as I booked this one for that but as I left at 7:15, didn’t get any. Didn’t feel good value, and no vibe

Hostel of the Sun is in an excellent location overlooking the bay and is just 10 minutes' walk from Piazza Trieste e Trento and the Galleria di Palazzo Zevallo Stigliano. In fact, it's an easy walk to all of the historic centre of Naples. This hostel features a wide range of private rooms and dorms and Hostelworld guests have compared it favourably to a hotel. We like that the friendly staff have great suggestions for local restaurants and sights off the beaten track.
