Open for more than twenty years, Hostel of the Sun has long been a favourite with travellers in Naples. Thanks to our great location, incredibly warm atmosphere, spacious and comfortable rooms and welcoming and friendly staff, Hostel of the Sun is also often voted amongst the best hostels in the world at the annual Hoscars awards.

As soon as you arrive at Hostel of the Sun one of our staff will sit down with you and explain everything there is to know about and do in Naples, including suggesting places to visit and the most delicious places to eat. We can help you plan out every moment of your stay in and around Naples.
You can enter in your room from 2:00 P.M., but we wait for you from 8:00 A.M. in case you want to leave your luggage with us.

We're is located in one of the safest part of the city centre, just a few steps away from the ferries for the islands and the bus for the airport. We are also a couple of minutes away from the bus station for Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast and Municipio metro stop.

We provide all the help you need to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Amalfi Coast, hike the Vesuvius as well as organising amazing boat trips around the beautiful coast of Naples.

The staff were extremely helpful with our late arrival due to a delayed flight. They gave directions and best ways to get to hostel. We paid for a 6 bed and ended up in a 4 bed with an en suite! Free breakfast was an added bonus. Would recommend to a friend.

Awesome hostel. FYI the immediate neighborhood is a bit seedy, which I’m very comfortable with, but can be a consideration for nighttime arrivals (particularly for women, or travelers with big suitcase). Protip: if the alleys worry you, go thru the main road, this will also let you avoid alley cobblestones too if your rolling suitcase) I loved the vibe of the shared spaces, it felt very casual and comfortable like a hostel I might build with my friends. Or like a big house shared by roommates.

Hostel of the Sun is in an excellent location overlooking the bay and is just 10 minutes' walk from Piazza Trieste e Trento and the Galleria di Palazzo Zevallo Stigliano. In fact, it's an easy walk to all of the historic centre of Naples. This hostel features a wide range of private rooms and dorms and Hostelworld guests have compared it favourably to a hotel. We like that the friendly staff have great suggestions for local restaurants and sights off the beaten track.
