Amazing location in Amsterdam and a good price! Seems to have a renovation going on so once the accommodation is joined to the bar/terrace area it will be excellent, currently you have to go to the alleyway around the back which is fine during the day but they close a gate at 6pm which means you need to go all the way to the bottom of the block and back to get from the terrace to your room Could do with some aircon in the rooms as it was quite stuffy, but for cheap and cheerful you can't fault!

I enjoyed my stay at The Globe Hostel. Location is great and I liked the beds. The atmosphere though isn‘t too great to meet new people.

It was pretty close to the city centre in Amsterdam. Facilities was great, environment was ok. You have to bring your own lock to secure your bag, they also provide small locker outside the room but not sure do you need to pay for it. Bed was clean.

Staff was lovely. Room was nice, spacious and clean and the beds were GOOD, not like the usual squeaky metal Ikea beds most hostels have, so a big thumbs up for that. Small lockers in the room. The bathrooms were a bit dirty :( Location is in the center so that was very nice, short walk to train and shops, but if you're looking to sleep well this wont be the place for you as it's on a street with a lot of pubs and in the mornings the church bell rings every half hours and its LOUD!

    Very Good

Definitely a hostel vibe, however for the money we paid I think it should have been a bit better. There is no insulation in the rooms, so if you go during the winter you're going to be cold af. We could hear the people from the street talking cause of the paprethin walls and we kept being woken up during the whole 3 nights of our stay by other residents SLAMMING their doors. The staff was nice but was rushing us to leave at 9.30am which we didn't appreciate. Overall meh...

Way too expensive. Got there earlier than expected and there was nowhere safe to leave my luggage. Dorm was too hot. No fan or anything. No breakfast or nothing.

The only positive thing is really the location. 5 minute walk from central station. Everything else, the hostel itself looks pretty sketchy and the staff weren't really nice or friendly. There are NO lockers in the room, only at the end of the corridor. There are NOT enough plugs for everyone (3 plugs in a room of 8!!!). You could tell things were clean, but they still looked dirty, plus whatever they used to mop the floors had a horrible smell. It's way too expensive for the quality.

I’ve stayed in my fair share of hostels, but this has by far been the worst. The staff was extremely unhelpful and rude. All the other hostels have given me a tour of at least the toilets, showers, and rooms, but when I was handed my key and stood there waiting the receptionist looked up and said, “it’s on the third floor” with attitude. The bathrooms were pretty dirty. The rooms were adequate. Make sure to bring your own lock for the locker and to make note that you can’t store your luggage.
