Great place to stay in the very center of Amsterdam, walking distance from Central Train Station. Good quality-price rate and helpful staff. The only thing I missed was a more secure luggage room on the check-out day, but you always can use the locks at Central Station.

Hotel the Globe was great: my friend and I had an uneventful, unproblematic stay. One surprise was that there were no lockers in the room for our backpacks for while we were out touring. However, as our dorm room (8 pers.) had a key card lock on it, it was safe enough and we had no issues. Towels were not provided. Everything was very hygienic.

Good hostel right in the centre of the city, very basic facilities but that's what we expected. Great value though, clean, great bar out of the back and idel base for sightseeing.

The dorm room I slept in had a direct view of the canal. I found that really amazing! Location is perfect, less than 10 minutes walk from the central station. Bathroom clean with soap included, but I would have appreciated a couple of hooks to hang my towel.

The staff was very friendly and the location was very central. COVID measures still kind of in place, so most of the communal stuff was stacked in the corner.

Cheap, sterile place to sleep in a great location. Don't expect luxury, but then at that price you wouldn't. Nice bathrooms though.

The location of the Globe was absolutely perfect. From the doom rooms you look out across a lovely canal which was really cool in the evening. Security was a bit of an issue as I was travelleing with equipment. There is no storage in the rooms at all; not just without locks, there’s nothing. After check out (10:00) you can leave your bag, but it’s in the lobby and at your own risk. If i’m coming down to Amsterdam again for a weekend I wouldn’t mind staying here, but not again with gear 😬

The room having 10dorms is too small for 10dorms. The room cannot accommodate more than 6 dorms. Everything is so congested that it increases the humidity and causes lot of problem. I was surprised to see this kind of arrangement during the Covid situation and moreover almost all beds have been booked.

It was very expensive provided that there is nothing special about it. Also, there was a bad smell in my room. Inaddition, most of the staff were not friendly at all and they are so lost ; I felt like it was there first day in the job .(Except for one guy who was friendly and we even chatted a little bit together).
