Madrugada - one of the most charming hostels I’ve stayed in. Away from traffic, an easy walk to town, porch overlooking gardens & river make it unique. It doesn’t offer tours & parties; quietness is one of its features, fantastic for reading, reflection, relaxation after a hard day of hitting ruins, sondero, museums. with the best breakfast in town. The difficulty getting hot water almost was a deal breaker. I left him with a hacksaw & hope. I will raise my rating if that is solved

Really nice hotel - very clean and relaxed. Not the easiest to find though, could do with a sign out front!

Hotel is located in a quiet area of town and is a short walking distance to the main square. Rooms are spacious. Practical place for a short stay in Copan.

Really nice deck area. Copan is a small town so the location is good. Door locks overnight, which was a problem in the morning as I missed the first bus. Should have clarified but it is also a fire hazard. Nice staff, Spanish only but helpful

Lovely quiet hotel, just a couple of streets away from what felt like the centre. We had a fan above our bed and plenty of room in the room. Staff were lovely helping us figure out how we should get to Rio Dulce after Copan.

Perfect for a one night stop over at the border from Guatemala. Not much going on in the hostel but close enough to the centre where there are bars and restaurants.

We are a family of 6 who stayed in This hotel for two nights. All was fine, we spent a delightful few hours hanging around in hammocks on the second day when out of the blue the male staff member began shouting at us accusing my teenage sons of stealing a lead for a credit card machine. His anger escalated and he threatened to call the police to have our bags checked. A Spanish speaking guest helped us, and he backed off eventually. I felt unsafe and vulnerable, no apologies offered. Not safe.
