General Group Booking Terms

By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.

  • In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
  • The booking deposit is non-refundable.
  • Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
  • Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
  • Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
  • It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
  • Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.

Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions

The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 4 weeks prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

Cancellation / No Show & Reduction in Numbers Policy

Cancellation 30 days prior to arrival date is for free otherwise 100% stay amount will be charged to your credit card.
Hotel will pre-authorise your credit card 30 days prior to arrival date and will freeze the full amount of money until your arrival.
After the payment in the hotel your money will be released.

Additional Terms and Conditions

The booking amount is mentioned ex. 5% Tourist tax (5,5% in 2013-2014)which will be paid on arrival.

Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Property Description

Hotel Plantage offers free Wi-Fi access throughout the building. With a key to the front door of the hotel, you can come and go as you please.

Next to the hotel is tram stop of tram 14 which makes the trip easy and convenient from Amsterdam Central Station. In 10 minutes walking distance there are metro stops Waterlooplein and Weesperplein which makes the hotel accessible by metro as well.

    My boyfriend and I stayed in a private room on the top floor. We were both impressed with the chandelier and the espresso machine. The beds were comfortable enough, and everything was pretty clean. The bathroom was big but not my favorite - it wasn’t dirty, but still wasn’t all that nice, and the shower was just a handheld shower head. The place is a 15 minute walk from the center of town - it’s good if you want to spend most of your time exploring the city and just need a quiet place to sleep.

    Quite expensive and not particularly close to the centre of Amsterdam on foot, but clean, large rooms with some complimentary bathroom products, comfortable beds.

    Good location, very close to several museums and a short trip with the tram to the city center. Though expensive in regard to the standard of the hotel. Room was ok though.
