The internet access was very poor, I stayed on 4th floor and the reception was very bad. And maybe they should set up some ground rules, like ask people to quiet down after midnight and no food in the room after certain hours. The guys in my room were eating at around midnight and 1am. The smells disturbed me a lot which I can’t really sleep and I have to wake up at 6am to catch my early flight. So practically, I didn’t sleep at all that night. The location is good but it’s really noisy area.

Rooms are way too cramped and the building is old. Nothing looks clean. Stayed one night as I was catching the ferry the next morning. Only positive thing was the location is handy for that. Nothing else good to say..

The kitchen facilities were poor, for example majority of the hobs weren’t working or hardly any kitchen utensils. The place itself wasn’t really clean, my sheets smelt. The lounge looked dirty, tables were rarely cleaned. There was no atmosphere, I know it’s winter. However it was more for long term residents from NZ than Backpackers. I suppose you get what you pay for, however I have stayed in similar hostels at the same price, and you get more got your money.
