Great hostel! And great place to meet people easily! The facilities aren’t the most amazing but the people you meet and the atmosphere makes up for it! The rooms are very noisy at night as they are next to the bars and stuff but if you are out partying then it doesn’t matter. The staff was sosososo amazing and they clean up the hostel every day and it is really a great place to be as it is super close to the beaches (walking distance). Although, there is no oven/cooking plates. Loved the stay!

THE NICEST PEOPLE EVER! The staff is absolutely lovely and very accommodating! Very much enjoyed my stay, I even extended my trip! 5 minute walk from the beach, 20-25 min walk to the cliffs. Kitchens don’t have a stovetop and there are only two toilet/showers, but I honestly didn’t find a problem with either of those. Still was able to cook my own food and never found myself waiting around for the restroom. Loved Lagos and loved staying here!

    Very Good

Lovely owner, she made us feel at home! a good location to access the centre and surrounded by a variety of restaurants / right on top of a bar and surrounding drinking spots, because it’s on a corner it gets the surrounding noise of music and party life. The facilities were very basic, no stove to cook food and small living space so it makes for a tight hangout area. My boyfriend and I met lovely people so that definitely was a highlight.

We booked the Iguana very last minute. Ruth (who runs the hostel) and her son Diogo are very friendly and helpful. To her credit, Ruth cleaned the entire place every day, but she couldn't keep up with the way the guests were treating the place. The rooms are very small, but there is a balcony and a kitchen for guests. The atmosphere was more crash pad than hostel, so we didn't spend much time here. You can definitely do worse in Lagos.

Ridiculously small dorm rooms. Weren’t allowed to put our bags in the rooms, instead putting them in lockers which are located in the small kitchen, so each time you wanted to get changed you had to drag your bag out on the kitchen floor. Wifi hardly worked on the second floor, no one ever on the reception desk, common areas on our floor were a mess, no one on reception to check out the morning we left, but wanted our 10€ deposit back, almost Missed bus to Lisbon, stay elsewhere.

Super loud (but totally empty) bar downstairs, open late. Zero atmosphere. Uncomfortable bed. No staff available - tried to book an extra night after deciding to stay in Lagos, but couldn't find anyone or reach their contact number all day. Finally found the owner's son playing beer pong, who assured us we could stay, only to be woken up the next morning because our room had been booked. Honestly, having to go somewhere else was a blessing. Dont bother staying here, there are way better places.

Ok, so if you go to Lagos please think it a few days before :-) we didn't have a lot of choice and this one was the best. Security fine but the place isn't very clean and FULL... It's like one apartment with 4 rooms of 4 beds with one bathroom (wtf). It wasn't cheap... ! There is bar on the first floor (outside the hostel) with cheap price but without ambience. I recommend the place but I'm pretty sure you can find better.
