Good location. Fairly cheap. Quite dirty at times. Cockroaches come out of nowhere. Kitchen too small. Chill vibe. Would probably stay again.

Cheap place, good for the price. The rooms are hot as hell but you have free breakfast... good area and safe but not the nicest street. Near train station.

There are cockroaches around the facility, no blanket provided for the cold period in Sydney. But overall the place is reasonably acceptable with the given price point

Very friendly staff. The room is quite hot, could have more fans or air con. The facilities are very basic but functional. The breakfast is simple, don't expect many options of food, but is better then spending money eating out. The atmosphere is very neutral, lots of long termers, not a party hostel at all. If you are willing to meet people and hang out or grab some beers, problably is not the right place. On the other hand, if you are looking for a quiet place to crash, that will suit you.

Very avarage hostel. No lockers, stuffy rooms. There was the water droping from the ceiling in the toilet in my dorm. Everything is pretty old and not cozy at all. Ok to stay 1-2 nights, but have no sence to stay longer.

Super cheap hostel for Australia with a free breakfast and pretty good location. Downside the building needs huge amounts of work done, the place is a hole with no atmosphere. If you are doing to quick stop in Sydney to smash through the sites so don’t have much time to meet people and just need a place to crash this hostel does the job.

Iguana Lodge was the worst place we have ever come across in 3 months travelling. People are living there, so clothes are on drying racks all over the place. As for cleanliness- no such thing. Cockroaches run around the floors, the room was not cleaned once. 2 people in the room had s** on two nights very akwardly and continued when I got up to use the toilet. The kitchen is filthy. The beds are not stable and matrices so soft you feel the metal frame. People are not sociable. Worst place ever

Disgusting stuff. I expect to be reimbursed in the near future. not happy at all!!! simon bennett76@hotmail.com I hope someone has the courage to get back to me regarding this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
