Hostel looks very cool. The amount of people in one room is just enough. The common area is very chill, but the chairs are uncomfortable. The staff was good

This hostel is recommended for people who are seeking a tranquil and chill atmosphere, far away from the usual, cookie cutter "plastic" average hostel experience that you get these days. I stayed in the 5 bed dorm room, which was very basic, but really authentic. Like you are staying in a jungle hut!. The staff who are mostly volunteers, make the hostel even more atmospheric and welcoming. They are very kind, warm and attentive to your needs/requirements.

I love the vibe, the staff/volunteers are very friendly, the space and pool is beautiful, it feels like being in nature. I didnt like is that there was cameras everywhere, I heard that owner keeps watching the cameras all day. I understand that security is important but being watched all the time and having cameras everywhere is intrusive and unnecessary. It felt like being in big brother. The price of the rooms kept changing everyday. The hostel could do with free or affordable bikes

Overall, I liked my stay. Just a few suggestions: 1) The internet is practically dysfunctional. I had to use my mobile service or go to the internet cafes nearby. The hostel should look into getting a better internet service. 2) The common area is very spacious but lacks comfort items, such as hammocks, chairs, beanbags etc. Just a few of these spread around would create a very nice ambiance. 3) Upgrade to a computerized system from notebooks. Guys, it is not that difficult to work on Excel :D

I had a family emergency, and expressed it to the hostel. I spoke to Selina stuff via email and they said it was the staff discretion if I’d be refunded. The front desk refused to refund me and weren’t even helpful. I stood in the lobby for minutes on end while the staff were just hanging out ignoring me and on their personal phones. I didn’t get a towel for my stay either after asking for one. Overall it’s a really cool place, yet I wish the staff were more attentive & empathetic.

The Indajani hostel was a very chill place, with a high-ceiling open common area with tables, plants, cushions and a cute little pool. The kitchen was quite big, but the pans need updating. The bunkbeds were nice, but lacked curtains to give the beds some privacy. There were also no lockers and the doors to the rooms didn't really lock. My one biggest issue with the Indajani was the quality of their wifi. The internet did not work in the rooms and wasn't very good in the common areas.
