    Very Good

Positive: Hostel is in a quiet street close to the port and city center (5min by foot). The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is basic but OK (Bread, vegetables, pancakes, eggs, coffee, tee, ham, cheese). They have tours you can easily book at the reception. WiFi in the room. Negative: No heater in the room, what makes it very cold especially during night. Our room hat only windows towards the inner side of the hostel.

Overall Rating: 3.4 - 1) advertised 24/7 hot water simply wasn't present 90% of the time (meaning cold), 5% was lukewarm and 5% was actually hot (the only time with hot water seemed to be when I was the only person present in the entire hostel; 2) included breakfast extremely inconsistent - two cooks one day and no cook the next, thus no promised ham, no cheese, no eggs, no pancakes/crepes, only some puffed rice cereal. Nice place, outstanding staff, unfortunately disappointing experience.

Central location, short walk to the plaza, markets, port. Water is not hot. Room is cold. Window into common space can be opened externally. Most of the staff were impersonal & not friendly. I arrived early and was told to wait in the lounge until the time I had said I would arrive despite my room being available. I signed up for an Uros tour with the hostel which turned out to be a bad experience being taken to an island of liars pressuring you to buy souvenirs and spend money.

Good hostel to spend like one or two nights in. You arrive, do a Lake Titikaka tour and leave - there isn’t much to do in Puno anyways. The hostel is very basic, not one for spending much time in. Not many people, facilities are meh and the breakfast is not too good - but, it’s perfect for what it is, a cheap place for a passing through.
