This is the best hostel ever and it is because of the people there. We were planning on staying only one night but came back for several more because we loved it so much - they were super accommodating and welcoming. This place is full of love and light and feels like home, we are thankful for these beautiful new friends! Also, don’t miss waffle night! ;)

Fantastic place. Staff were friendly and the place had a nice, chill vibe. 26 bed room was pretty open so it didnt seem that big. Only downside is not enough bathrooms. Enjoyed our stay!

This hostel is a 28-bed dorm, yet I found it easy to sleep. We had beds 1 and 2, which were in a corner and felt quite private. Your locker is far from your bed, which makes it harder if you need something late at night. Excellent common area, good breakfast (extra cost). Easy 10 minute walk to the harbor. Great value for the price!

28 people is a lot but fortunately bed are sort of sheltered with wooden planks. Mattress however are quite hard. But due to the good facilities, friendly staff and awesome location I would recommend to sleep here

The staff are great here super helpful and loved waffle and movie night a great way to socialise with other guests. The security is a bit naff no one gets a key, it’s always open and if you go out late you have to knock on the door to wake them up. Often had to cue for showers. The location is really good walking distance to most things.

It's a good hostel with nice staff. My only complaint would be the shower which doesn't work so well. Also, its better to go there in a group, because there is an alcohol free policy at the hostel and , since bergen is really small , u might be quickly bored if u can't find any drinking partner to go out with.

No real security system except a small locker per person to fit small backpacks. During the day, anyone can walk into bunk area which is not ideal. One room has all the bunks which gets a bit crazy. Also, 2 toilets and 3 showers to share among everyone makes morning/evenings rough and makes it kinda dirty. Staff was awesome, location was fantastic, and general atmosphere among the people staying there was good if you can overlook the facility cons. Probably would stay there again.

We opted to stay here because the previous reviews made it sound like it was a good place to meet other travelers and that the staff often put together activities around Bergen for the guests. Unfortunately we did not find this to be accurate. The staff is made up of US college students more interested in hanging with each other than interacting w/ guests or cleaning the hostel. No events planned at all (in July on a weekend) and limited staff knowledge of the area in general.
