    Superb

This place is perfect for a city get away, the staff are super friendly and helpful! Really easy to get to. The showers are pretty weak but that’s expected the only thing I wasn’t expecting was that all the rooms have no proper roofs so that you have 4 walls to yourself but you can hear everyone in their rooms so that reduces the element of privacy but overall a great place!

The lobby was impressive, and the layout made a good use of the space. Because the room did not have a ceiling, there was some minor noise issues from other occupants (mainly phone alarms in the morning). The price balanced out these issues for me however. It was also easy to get to the metro station!

The price and location can't be beat. Quick ride to the island and all that NYC has to offer. Spacious common area but you have to go outside to get to it. It's only 2 feet away though. The dorm walls don't rise to the ceiling so ambient noise is there. Didn't bother me but it may others. I'll be back...when the world rights itself

    Fabulous

Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. There is a subway station a minute away and rooms are sound isolated. However, you can hear everything from everyone else on your floor considering there is no roof on the rooms, so there isn't much privacy. Kitchen is next door to the hostel itself and should open earlier (it opens at 9am) as there are people who leave before that and would like to save money on breakfast. In a nutshell it's a good value for money.

    Fabulous

Stayed 2 nights here- first night in 2-bed dorm which was fine. 2nd night in 4-bed dorm and a little tight. Looking back I would pay the extra £2ish for the 2-bed. Would be perfect if I was travelling with a second person. Good kitchen area and general feel for the commune area. Most staff were less than friendly- except one of the men. The rest I experienced weren’t that nice. They didn’t tell me anything and felt I was a nuisance when asking for something (that I should have been told already)

I do not like this hotel at all. Not a good experience. To start off with no elevator pack light a lot of stairs. Each floor has one bathroom, you could be sharing it with 20 girls. Bathroom small 3 sinks, toilets, shower, no privacy, glass see through, ppl self quarantining on the 3rd flr awaiting test result for coronavirus staff made aware did nothing, the kitchen filthy, fight at 3am woke us all up, then my wallet stolen security camera dnt record had to call the police. I hate it there.

This hostel was very unclean and staff were unfriendly/ helpful. In addition, even though I had my own room, it is more like a pen than a room because the rooms don't have ceilings and are all connected. This means you can hear everything around you resulting in very little sleep. I would not recommend staying here.

Way too much noise because the walls between rooms don't go up to the ceiling, beds were super uncomfortable, and this part of Brooklyn sucks ass anyway. So if you like cramped bathrooms, dudes you can hear farting and farmer blowing 50 feet away, and a general crappiness that the cheapest hostel in New York can provide, then by all means spend your money here. Also no elevators, so good luck chugging 50 lbs of luggage up 3 flights of stairs. It's super fun amirite
