Great location, as everything is close together in Aguas Calientes. A little tricky to find as Google maps showed the entrance was around the corner. The room was small but clean, and shower was nice and hot! It wasn’t a double bed, just two twin beds pushed together. We had to leave early for our Machu Picchu visit, so they packed us a breakfast snack and delivered it the night before! A little lacking in atmosphere and somewhat sterile, but would definitely stay here again.

Despite all the horror stories you hear about accommodation in Aguas Caliente , this was a perfect place to stay : shining & clean, attractive rooms with well equipped bathrooms, private and quiet for all of us to get a good night's sleep before the early start the next day. Breakfast starts at 5am with check out at 9.30 - we're all out in the enormous queue for the 5.30 bus. Breakfast provided a broad range of options. Staff level of English was beginner's or a bit better.

After backbacking for four/five days unguided, it was wonderful to have a clean and warm place to stay (and not have to set up camp). The room was inexpensive and clean. I even had the hottest shower I had in all of Peru here. The location is also perfect. It is just a little bit up the river from the train station, far enough away from the bus station to Machu Picchu that you do not have to deal with the line and crowds for that. Breakfast was fresh and good (even for a vegan).

Stayed in a private ensuite. Staff were receptive. Needed the booking reference when checking in. Very clean room; sheets, towels and the bed was brand new with brand new pillows! Super comfy. Checked out at 330am so missed breakfast, yet the staff made a snack: cheese bread, juice and banana and dropped it off at 8pm the night before. Very unique and much appreciated. Only one concern, the window to the room opened into the hallway so it was noisy when other guests were returning to their room

A nice location, right next to a nice little waterfall, which we could see from our bedroom window. The town is so small that anywhere you stay would be fine really! Nice breakfast that starts early which is useful if you have an early start to Machu Picchu.

    Very Good

Great small hostel for an overnight stay before the trip up to the Machu Picchu site. I had a private ensuite room, which was more like a hotel than a hostel. There were no facilities, apart from luggage storage. The breakfast was good - lots of choice for a hostel, including yogurt, cereal, juice, toast, eggs, sausage etc. The staff are very friendly, but don't speak English.

Perfectly adequate room in a decent location regarding the bus to Machu Picchu. The girl at the desk was friendly and helpful but our stay was slightly marred by the excessive noise of other guests and the somewhat ironic lack of hot water. Not bad overall for one night but I'd try somewhere else next time, particularly if I was planning a few nights.

The room was comfortable and clean, but incredibly noisy, had a lot of trouble sleeping. The staff was reasonably friendly. The packed breakfast (common in aguas calientes) was disappointing.

Very disappointing experience. We called to alter our booking because of the train strikes. We arrived late at night & there was no record of this alteration and they were fully booked. No help in rearranging accomodation for us for that night was given. We ended up staying at Hostal de Turistas Chaska just next door, which was only slightly more expensive & had much nicer staff and much nicer rooms. Go elsewhere....not recommended.

There was mould on the walls of the bathroom, curtains and roof and we had no window to air the place out. The door did not lock and you had to leave your key with staff in the morning.. when we arrived they had no record of us and had to show them our hostel world booking multiple times then they charged us more than the quoted price. As we were leaving we saw them do this to someone else. it seemed under staffed and no one was helpful. We used the tourist info in the main square for everything
