The bunkhouse is situated further uphill than we realized, and was a long slog at the end of a tough day’s hike, but it didn’t disappoint once we got there. Friendly staff, beautiful chapel conversion for the reception and dining room, compact but comfortable bedroom, great food, and a hot tub outside. Very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

Great location, very friendly staff and marvelous Bistro (with dancing chef). Plus now there are brand new showers and very well equipped kitchen for tourists, who want to cook on their own.

Hostel is very nice. You stay here is you are in the West Highland Way or if you have a car. It was a bit low in atmosphere when I was there but staff was amazingly kind

Staff were very friendly and accommodating as I arrived early. Location a bit tough to get to at the end of a day’s trek. Only bit of a drawback really is no lounge area, but I was spoiled from the Rowardennan Youth Hostel from the previous day.

Wonderful little find! We came here to break a journey up to the highlands. The hostel is lovely, All the staff were approachable and friendly. We only stayed one night, this gave us the opportunity to have a little wonder around ( a loop walk going down the the lake ) we had dinner that night and breakfast the following morning. Food was great! The rooms were clean and cosy only minor issue with them is they are below the communal so you can hear people above you if your an early sleeper.

I had a lovely stay camping. Two man tents are of a very good size and everything is provided for you. Only thing that let this place down was the food in the bar area - it came out cold and not up to scratch with the prices that this bunkhouse are charging. It should be warm, fresh and tasty which it sadly wasn’t. We would definitely stay again however we would eat somewhere else.

    Very Good

When we booked there was only a shared tent available. I wouldn't recommend this type of accommodation to any one other than hardcore travellers who would probably traveller with their own tent. After walking for 7 hours in the rain it was tough drying up (they do have a dry room) and getting into a tent...bad night of unless you really love camping don't go for this option....

having stayed in over 100 hostels all around the world, inversnaid bunkhouse is almost the worst Bed: You can feel every spring, the bunk is unstable and they had bed bugs Room: smaller than a prison cell and very hot. No insect guard on the window means no cool air ever. Bar: this was ok. But they kick you out at 10:30 and there is no where else to go except bed. Shower: in an outside cubicle with full exposure to the midgies. Toilet: unclean Food: cold Info point: non existent
