I came to Dublin on a skiing Holiday and if its Skiing you Guys Like then Dublin is the Place for you and Isaac's Hotel is a superb location within shuttle-bus of the Peaks. This is the Only Ski Lodge I have stayed at where Nudity is encouraged, cannot recommend highly enough. Since Isaacs' Death in 1997, The team here have Really Made Great Things Happen and its Safe to say that His reputation for Comfort and Quality lives on. There is a Sauna, Slot Machine, Ping Pong, and Leaflets.

Had a great stay here, well worth the value for money! Showers were never warm or hot, only cold for me on my visit. Locker's deposit system is a bit steep. Especially if you've just stayed there for 3 nights. Otherwise had a lovely stay, and even thought it's a bit off the beaten track you're in the centre of Dublin very quickly and easily with a short walk!

Breakfast was free, but was just bread with jam and coffee so nothing special. Outlets aren't right beside the beds, I was lucky to have a long charging cable so didn't affect me. Lockers are not in the bedrooms, they're down in the basement. Nowhere in the hostel to get food or drinks other than the vending machine, but it has a kitchen.

Plus-side: convenient for main bus station and Connolly train station; fairly central; railway nearby barely noticeable; decent facilities (kitchen, toilets, lounge); ample breakfast (bread/toast, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, tea, coffee, juices); 24-reception; very clean; €2 lockers. Downside: opens straight onto side street - take care to avoid cars; cleaning while using toilet; no mugs in kitchen; hand drier defunct on 1st floor. Better if notices in rooms said reception has spare passes.

    Very Good

I believe that this hostel in Dublin is what I paid for. The lockers were not located in the room (typical of other hostels), but rather were in a basement. So, everyday I had to take my things down to the basement to lock it up and then bring it back to my room everyday. The staff were all extremely friendly and gave amazing recommendations and they offered a very cheap (but good) pub crawl and guided tours of the city. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice and tidy place to stay. However we did get woken up my big group of lads laughing and shouting at 4 am waking us up in the night which lasted a while. Also the tram runs straight past the hostel every hour or so which is also noisy

    Very Good

Good, but missing some things to push it into the 'great' category. ie lockers are in the basement and you have to pay for them - limited showers and toilets on each floor - not enough plugs in some of the rooms for each guest to charge their stuff. The staff was very friendly, however. And the breakfast was very basic (breads and spreads, cereals) but quite good. And the location was ideal.

Isaacs was an okay place. It was close to the city which was great but I found the staff and facilities to be mediocre. Be careful of items which housekeepers might take accidentally (or purposely)!!! I lost my door stopper and was staying in a private room. On the day I noticed this and the following 2 days, I was just told to check reception again the next day. All staff except for one, did the bare minimum to help. They looked around for 2 seconds before saying there’s nothing they could do

Hostel was ok, the staff didn’t seem very knowledgeable or even happy to try to help when I needed information. We payed a deposit to take the early airport shuttle and they didn’t put down our names so we had the added stress of having to fight with the bus driver to get on the bus at 4am. On top of that, we had someone sleeping in our room who was shaking the floor with his snoring and the staff said “He’s stayed here before and really bothers people, do you want earplugs?” Just not great.

Issacs Hostel was clean, thats it, the basic amenities sucked. The storage lockers for your backpack or luggage was downstairs in the basement. Far away from your room on the 1st-4th floor, this made getting ready/getting ready for bed a trek. Most hostels have free lockers in your room, you have to pay 2 GBP a day to use the musty smelling lockers in the basement. The showers were also terrible too. Basically, this hostel is overpriced and overrated. DONT DO THE PUB CRAWL, watered down drinks.
