Jacks place is a really cool chilled out hostel! Jack is super helpful and you can tell he’s well liked. The food was really nice and the rooms were spacious. However, the showers weren’t very clean and there were only 2 for all of the guests. The room couldn’t be locked from inside so at night we were a little worried about our stuff! Apart from that would recommend this hostel.

Had a decent stay at Jack’s place. Jack and the other staff who work there are really friendly and helfpul and they serve up a great burger in the attached restaurant! We stayed in a private double room which had alright security with a key to the room and a decent amount of space to move around. Would be good if there were mosquito nets provided though as the wall around the room didn’t quite meet the ceiling so lots of mosquitos and a few other bugs were in the room. Overall great stay!

You get what you pay for. The price of $3.50 reflects the conditions of the rooms. The single rooms are just a bed with a decimeter of floorspace between the door and bed. The room is open to the street so if noises in the night bothers you, this is it not for you. Since dorms and single are the same price I would recommend getting a dorm if available. Just because you will have a little bit more floorspace so you actually can move around outside your bed. Overall, happy with stay because of $.

Our stay at Jacks place was good. We were lucky and managed to get upgraded for free into a private room with 2 single beds (which were each big enough to be a double) from the dorm room. The only down side what that the private room had a gap above the wall that allowed mosquitoes and insects even if the doors and windows was closed. also the shared bathrooms were very dirty and left me feeling more dirty each time I came out. Overall it was what we expected and we were happy.

BARE BONES not even a table for our bags, no hooks on the walls - literally an empty room with a really hard bed. But it was Khmer New Year so we had literally no choice. If you don’t like cobwebs or locals living/sleeping in the rooms next to you, don’t stay here!

Wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here. Very rude and disorganized staff. Dirtiest hostel I have ever been to. Even if you’re traveling on a budget spend the money and stay elsewhere.

Bugs ALL over the bed, blanket, towels when we arrived. The room appears okay in pictures online so we decided it was good enough, but the rooms are dark, dingy, mouldy boxes with a bed in that are not fully enclosed. Maybe could have dealt with it for one night had it not been for the bugs...but we left and found somewhere else straight away!!

This place is the worst I ever stayed in. The rooms are just storage units, open to the air because the walls don’t reach the ceiling. So noisy. No showers and the toilets are disgusting. The staff charged us double as he charged both me and my friend knowing full well we were together. There were ants/small bugs all over my bed and I had to share with my friend.
