Excellent location, just steps away from the subway. Staff were nice and helpful. Hostel is quiet, not a party hostel which worked well for me. Nice first place to stay in Australia.

Great hostel! The staff is super friendly and nice, they clean the rooms every day, it’s still a bit dirty but nothing too bad. Great atmosphere the rooftop is amazing all in all more than great for the price!

The hostel was very conveniently located, pretty much attached to kings cross station and about a 45 minute walk to things like botanical gardens, opera house, and all those things if you didn’t want to take the train. The staff were so friendly and helpful! My bed was amazingly comfortable too. The only was the restrooms were quite gross and often smelled like urine. I really appreciated the free breakfast though and would recommend this hostel!

Nice hostel but nothing special. Nice lounge area with computers free to use. Good sized kitchen with everything you would need. Our room was a four bed and was way too small, hardly enough room for one person! Lots of long stayers when we were there so it was hard to make any friends, but all friendly. Kings cross is not a nice area. There’s a lot of homeless and prostitutes, and s** shops along the road of the hostel, luckily the hostel is right next to the train station.

Had a great stay here. There’s a really chilled atmosphere and everyone is so friendly. There’s stuff to do organised everyday by the hostel which is good as a way of getting involved with things too. It’s a half an hour walk in to the city through the botanical gardens which is really nice too or you can get the train. Staff were nice, good facilities and pretty clean too. Felt very at home here, I’d definitely recommend and stay again. Made my time in Sydney even better. Thankyou!

Other residents were really noisy at night. I asked for a private twin en-suite and we got bunk beds, not ideal for a newly wed couple on an extended honeymoon. The place had a grimy feel to it. But good location.

I arrived early so stored my luggage near reception, however the door to the luggage room was always open and someone could have easily walked in whilst reception was unattended! A shower in the floor above leaked very badly into the corridor outside my room, and they said they'd put a sign up but I'm guessing it wasn't clear enough as the leak occured twice during my 2 night stay!

Cheap hostel but not super close to any of the major sights in Sydney and not the cleanest. It did provide free breakfast which consisted of toast and cereal. All the people we met at the hostel were interesting and seemed to be living there rather than vacationing or traveling. They split up our booking of 4, with 3 people in one 4-bed room and 1 in a different 4-bed room. There are also a LOT of stairs to get up to your room.

Bathrooms unclean, smelly and the doors did not lock. Facilities included a toilet and shower in the same room. The electric did not work in one of the toilet/bathrooms - 2 out of 4 bathrooms on my floor did not lock. The bathrooms were not gendered and you had to run the risk of someone unknowingly walking in on you while you shower, which I didn't think was ideal. Nice eating area, staff reasonably friendly and events were going on in the hostel if that was something you were interested in.

BED BUGS - POOR MANAGEMENT. Had to spend 5 nights getting eaten alive in room 8 while the fumigators turned up. Asked for free rent to cover these days & was told I could have 1 free night for my troubles. Save your self the hassle and stay at a hostel that’s run properly.
