Jacky’s was such a great place to stay at in Pugaolao Village. Jacky was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. The food is delicious and the views of the rice terraces from the rooftop were stunning. We stayed in a 4-person dorm which was clean and comfortable.

Definitely one of the best places to see the Yuanyang Rice Terraces. You're literally right among them! Jacky was super nice and helpful. The food was some of the best I've had so far in China. Definitely a very relaxing place.

We had a great stay at Jacky's! Jacky was a wonderful host and he went out of his way to be accommodating. I would absolutely recommend staying here. And his postcards are beautiful!

Jacky, our host, was fantastic. The guesthouse is located perfectly for trekking along the terraces and to watch the sunrise. Food was delicious. Jacky is also a photographer and you will find his beautiful photographs around the guesthouse. He also sells them as postcards.

Great views from this beautiful hostel, maybe even better than the actual viewing platform for sunrise. Staff are friendly and helpful and Jacky speaks great English. Meals are delicious and reasonably priced and everywhere is perfectly clean. Only complaint was shower in the dorm was never hot but in the private rooms seemed to be fine and I didn't ask if I was doing something wrong so it may have been me!

Jacky was a great host, very friendly and helpful. Great view of the rice terraces from the roof, worth staying there for this alone! The food was good - not much choice in what you got, but tasty and good value. Facilities quite basic - no communal sitting area other than the outdoor rooftop area and kitchen area, but bed was comfy and good hot water (once we were told that hot was actually the other side/marked blue).

    Very Good

Value for money this place is great, and Jacky was very helpful. The guesthouse was no frills, which was a bummer for us. If you want a nice comfortable to room to spend your days in, I’d book elsewhere. Jacky's day hike was amazing, and the terrace was a great place to watch the sunrise. Overall very budget friendly spot.

No signs on how to get there, has 2 points of Jacky's. You should not go to the "booking" one because it is not accurate. Internet sucks, food was average at best and felt over priced. It took us half an hour to find the place. Jacky was helpful on how to get to Jianshui so that was his plus to us. Great location to watch the terrace.

I have stayed in many hostels all over the world, unfortunately this place does not live up to its description or reviews. There was another good and helpful hostel close by. It was not helped that Jacky was away for the first half of my stay, after he returned he was helpful in organising an onward bus ticket. Overall, unfortunately I did not have a good experience staying here
