First time staying in a hostel. It was good. Check in was easy. I did get there super late due to everything else so I had to get let in by the desk attendant and had to pick up a key in the morning. The elevator also broke down and they just propped open the stairs which I didn’t have a problem with but could see how some could take it as a security issue. The only thing that really got me was the shower. It desperately needs to be snaked to get all the hair out of it. It turned into a puddle.

Great location and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Offered to move my room after someone had taken my bed (and messed up the other beds in the room). Ended up having a three person room to myself. The beds are very uncomfortable, and a bar in the middle of the bed made it so I couldn’t sleep. Location is great and okay to walk to at night since there are always lots of people out.

    Very Good

Very centrally located and felt safe once you’re in your room. Often there wasn’t a person at the front desk if you wanted any assistance. It was very hot so if you share a room with others, be ready to have agree on the AC situation with others, which was not easy. I only stayed there one night and it was fine.

If you are traveling with friends, super ok to stay there. If you are traveling by yourself, don't book it. There's no common area to interact or meet people. The dorm I got was really noisy ( you can hear all noise from the street) The blinds are not dark enough and the sunlight comes to your bed. The A/C was on/off the entire night, which makes the room really hot. My bed didn't have towel for shower. The location is excellent. Walkable, restaurants, subway, Time's Square super close.

Great location but this is really just for people who need a place to lay down at night while they’re in NYC. Our room’s AC wasn’t working and staff couldn’t fix it, the place still felt like it was being finished/fixed up, virtually no amenities or resources for touring the city. I’d be interested in seeing what this place is like in 6 months when they’ve ironed out the wrinkles and settled in more.

One of the worst hostels I ever stayed in! Unclean, drainage problems, toilet paper was frightfully scarce and no soap was provided to wash your hands (we are in a pandemic!). The entire place had an odd feeling to it. No ID check at check-in. The only good part was its location.

Well to begin with the location is not so safe but the location is well located near Central Park! Too many homeless people and druggies. The front desk people are not so friendly and crafty... There was a lady who was kissing an argentinian guy she was brazilian and slept in my room for free and talked all night long, she said so many crazy things about working there and at the same time staying for free etc, whcih got me scared because she didnt have a key and asked me not to close the door
