Staying here was my favorite part of my whole Costa Rica trip. The boat trip is well-organized and the boat men know to keep an eye out for expected hostel guests at the restaurant. The boat ride was exhilarating and a bit bumpy, but really a fun and safe experience. The hostel food was amazing and the chef and others working at the hostel are friendly! I went on hikes near the hostel (free) and saw wild toucans, monkeys, ants, a snake (smaller one). The water is clear and light blue. Very fun!

We had the most amazing stay at Jungla del Jaguar ! We stayed for three nights in this beautifully wild and remote hostel and had a lot of fun ! The staff was super nice and they showed us everything there is to see about the island: animals, sea caves, hidden waterfalls and beaches, fun things to do, secret spots... We felt our whole stay was an adventure ! So if you are looking for nature, adrenaline and relaxing time on the beach, this is the place for you ! Huge thanks for everything !

Amazing location and hostel. We saw a tapir in the gardens! The trails around the hostel are beautiful, and you have the chance to explore sea caves and the like. The only problem is that there are no self catering options, and while the food in the restaurant is excellent, it is quite pricey. If you are tight on money, just bring some dry foods (ramen, bread with spread, etc) m. Overall though, an incredible stay!

Amazing location in the middle of the jungle. Staff very friendly, including the owners who live there. Lots of wildlife to see on the trails around the property, even without paying for the national park tour. Kitchen is very basic (no microwave or oven) and gets a bit messy at times but we managed to cook up some things. I would highly recommend taking the morning boat from Sierpe to Jungla - the captain of the afternoon boat is a rude pirate and charges whatever he wants (up to US$ 60 p.p.)

I loved it here! It's remotely in the jungle, you have plenty of hiking trails around the property so I didn't even go into the national park, saved me 90 bucks! Staff is super nice and helpful, always a nice atmosphere at the bar, food at the restaurant is also decent if necessary. They also have a decent kitchen to cook for yourself, basic but ok. Only complaint is that bathroom in dorms wasn't that clean and the mattress was so thin I basically lay on the wood planks. Otherwise great place!

Magical and wild place! Also affordable!! Loved the scenery. Would recommend, but note in advance: *Staff are very friendly. Lucas, the one in charge is super nice and helpful, until there's a problem - in which case he doesn't care about you and would not try to help. He even got quite rude. *The Corcovado tour the hostel offers is a joke. A nice hike, but so not worth 100$!! Take the regular one from Drake Bay to Sirena! *You depend on the restaurant as it's the only place around. Bring food!

    Very Good

Hostel is average but would return for the entire experience of getting there, getting back and having a Corcovado experience on a budget! The hostel is in a beautiful location and has multiple free hiking trails and deserted beaches / waterfalls around it. I highly recommend the +/- 5 hour coastal hike from Drake’s Bay to the hostel. The dorm ventilation isn’t good, kitchen worn down, staff weren’t great, no locals or local guide. Activities / restaurant / bar v overpriced.

The location of the place is great, it’s nice to hear the sound of the ocean and the jungle and the sunset view is amazing. Regarding the facilities there is no kitchen and no shops so you have to eat in the restaurant and the prices are just ridiculous for what the meals are and the rations are not very big either. The overall experience was average, the atmosphere of the place just didn’t feel like in the rest of Costa Rica.
