Staying here was my favorite part of my whole Costa Rica trip. The boat trip is well-organized and the boat men know to keep an eye out for expected hostel guests at the restaurant. The boat ride was exhilarating and a bit bumpy, but really a fun and safe experience. The hostel food was amazing and the chef and others working at the hostel are friendly! I went on hikes near the hostel (free) and saw wild toucans, monkeys, ants, a snake (smaller one). The water is clear and light blue. Very fun!

This place is truly heaven on earth - no words could truly describe the magical experience that is Jaguar Jungle. Located on a remote island, to which you will be broght by boat from Sierpe (an amazing experience in itself) - this place has it all- several striking beaches, jungle all around - with perfectly marked hiking trails surrounding the property and bordering Corcovado National Park, wonderful staff and volunteers and delicious food and drinks and just the most special vibe all around !

If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the middle of the jungle with a private beach this is the place to be! I loved that it is located in a remote place with no other hotels near! You can trek the trails around the property for free and you already see a lot of animals. The property is really beautiful with hammocks to chill in. The food there is great but you can also bring your own food to cook! Just remember it is the jungle so bring your food from the mainland. Will come back for sure!

This hostel is awesome and it might be one of the best I have ever been to. The location is unreal, isolated away from everything on the edge of the jungle in the sea. You feel like you are on a desert isle when you're walking around but. The food and activities were wonderful. Just bring enough money with you to spend on the tours and activities. It was an unreal experience and Leo the manager was incredibly nice and gave tours and brought you swimming and cliff jumping. Seriously go here!

If you're looking for a remote destination, this hostel is for you. A very picturesque destination as well! Great hosts and great volunteering staff. The only problem that I ran into was lack of wifi, lack of cell phone reception and lack of a nearby town...which is a great thing unless you have an emergency. This place created many stories, and the jungle should both toughen you up and enlighten you. Ps watch out for the boat drivers who will charge Gringos more than locals.

if you love nature and that cast-away feeling this is your place, very beautiful with its own little private beach to swim and a tide pool to simply relaxe after a hike. I saw tapirs walking right up to my dorm and amazing sunsets out of the hammock. if you are on a tight budget bring your own food! next village is a 5 hours walk which means also enough cash! and yes, there are also lots of sandflies so be prepared!! they were the only reason I didn't move there 😉😄

    Very Good

Excellent place to get away and go on an adventure. It's located on a large property of primary rainforest that is packed with trails, nature, and animals. You may spot a tapir! The downsides: only accessible by boat or hiking, massive spiders reside in the dorms (it's what to expect when in the jungle), no airflow in the dorms, no lockers, the staff weren't always very welcoming.

Great location! Beaches are beautiful. Not many people! Animals everywhere :) But the facilities are a little run down. Our cabina didn't have locks or mosquito nets and was a little too ecpensive for not having these essentials. Bring your own food. Eating there is expensive and not very good.

Security: Booked a tour and ended up hiking 1:30 in the dark. The hike in the dark was really dangerous next to a cliff. Had to cross a river waist high where there are crocodiles. No lock on the door. Location: The nature is very beautiful but it is very remote so you are completely dependant on the owner and the poor organisation. The boat to go there charged us extra, they knew we had no other way to get there. Cleanliness: Dirty on arrival and no cleaning of the room while on site.
