We loved K’s house Fuji view! Clean and serene with a view of Mt Fuji as it promised. Front desk crew was excellent. It offered a spacious common area, a largish kitchen with a lovely outdoor garden and hammocks, both indoor and outdoor and on the roof observatory. Lake Kawaguchiko was a walk away, as well as the sight seeing bus stop. We had a budget Japanese style room which was spacious and comfortable, airco and heater included (as in all hostels).

Really nice and clean hostel! Friendly staff. Of course nice view as well but to be honest I preferred the other hostels location being as it was close to the lake and all the shops/cafe. My only complaint is that they don't make the beds for you but rather post several signs on how to make it yourself. For almost 3,000 yen a night I don't think it's alot to ask that they make it for you! Just a nice gesture. Thank you for a good stay.

Highly recommended stop for any backpacker looking for chilled-out hostel. Rental bikes are cheap and serviceable. Great kitchen and dining/lounge area, the rooftop space is small and takes a climb to access, but offers a fantastic view of Fuji-san. My one gripe is the very annoying security alarm on the front entrance. It was insanely easy to trip and not intuitive to shut off. Once I'd figured it out, I had to show every newcomer how it worked. Remove that and this place is perfect.

The hostel style is cool, somewhat clsssic Japanese inner part. Staff was really helpful (also with booking buses etc). the kitchen is fantastically well equipped, but don't expect more breakfast than coffee and bread with jam (which is ok for a vegan). The roof area is small but, in a sunny day, perfect to see Fuji! the beds have sockets and lamp, positive point! They even have a shoe dryer outside, for rainy days. You can hire a bikr by ok price and check out the lake(s), really worth it!

There are 2 K's on Kawaguhico and I have stayed at both. This one seemed to have more mature guests and is not as good a location as the one by the lake.it is still a nice stay though.

The view of Mount Fuji is what makes this hostel. It’s quite far out from Kawaguchiko train station in a residential area (a not very straightforward 20 minute walk or 1700¥ taxi ride) and was super quiet when I stayed there. A little musty but did the job for 2 nights. There’s a shopping precinct with some (cheap and cheerful) restaurants and izakaya on the main road about 15 minute walk away. Make sure you head down to Kawaguchiko lakeside which is truly beautiful.
