I had a wonderful time here. The building was so clean and the traditional rooms were charming. The common room was welcoming and the staff were incredibly friendly! They took the time to talk with me in the evening since I was a solo traveler and even joined in with a ridiculous sing-a-long! I hope to stay here again when I come back to Japan in a couple years.

Loved, loved, loved this little traditional guesthouse (complete with sliding paper wall panels) in a quiet neighbourhood of Kamakura. It is located just outside the main tourist area but on a major bus route and only 5 min from the giant Buddha. The staff are a lovely group of young people who make you feel right at home. Slept like a baby on the thick traditional mattress under the warm duvet. Good kitchen for cooking your own meals or there is a cafe downstairs. You should stay here!

A really fantastic, traditional Japanese guesthouse in the great town of Kamakura. Comfortable tatami and futon sleeping arrangements, and a traditional barbecue in the living space. A great atmosphere on both nights I stayed with lots of friendly Japanese and foreigners mixing together, playing games and eating. Be prepared to leave the guesthouse for cleaning between 10:00 and 14:00, which might be inconvenient for some, but there is more than enough to see and do in the area. Amazing place!

Very nice traditional guesthouse! I loved their common area. It feels very authentic. The guesthouse is a good bit out of town though. It's 35 minutes away from the Daitbutsu which is itself quite a walk away from the train station. There is little options for eating / going out within distance of the guesthouse. That being said I would still recommend it because it's a great place to stay a night in a traditional guesthouse with an authentic Japanese atmosphere

The building is beautiful and the staff is really really nice. If you want to visit all the temples in Kamakura you need to take bus because is not close to the center. The beds are futons on the tatami floor and there are not enough electric appliances.
