Kasa Kiwi Hostel & Travel Agency is a classic hostel in the historic center. We have a lovely patio surrounded by plants and flowers and a huge roof terrace with 360-degree views of the city and surrounding mountains. On the Roof Terrace we have a bar which opens from 3:00pm to 10:00pm Tuesday to Sunday with a great selection of drinks, craft beers, Karaoke and live music events weekly.. We offer FREE fast WiFi; we have plenty of power sockets in each room; the kitchen is fully equipped and has its own balcony with tables and chairs. We offer free filtered water.. We also operate as a travel agency and can book all manner of tours, hikes, and shuttles. We can advise on volunteering; studying Spanish; taking salsa lessons; and all the sights Quetzaltenango (Xela) has to offer.

We are super central (only 2 blocks from Parque Central). If you are arriving by bus take an Uber/taxi to Parque Central from any of the bus terminals. An Uber/taxi should not cost more than Q40. From Parque Central walk east along 6a Calle for 2 blocks. The huge grey municipal building will be on your left for the first block. After the second block, turn right onto 9a Avenida. A bar/hotel called Lunavela is on this corner. Walk for 1.75 blocks and we are on the Right Hand Side just before the corner store and the little clothes store. Ring the bell on the right of the door and the doorman will let you in.

We have 5 private rooms (2 with private bathrooms) and 3 dorm rooms. No rooms have bunk beds.

Currently we do not have 24 hour reception. Guests must arrive prior to 21:30/9:30pm to receive your keys and check in. If you are unable to arrive prior to 21:30hrs, please contact us by whatsapp.

Kasa Kiw Hosteli has a bar. We have Karaoke 3 times a week and often have live music events on the weekend. The bar hours are 3:00pm to 10:00pm.

Check in from 14:00 to 21:30.
Check out from 00:30 to 11:00.
Guests must checkin by 21:30/9:30pm.

Cancellation policy: 24 hours before arrival.
Payment upon arrival by cash.
