The hostel is very easily accessible by public transport. We are also accessible by car as Junction 36 of the M6 motorway is only 8 miles from the hostel so ideal for guests who are travelling to and from Scotland. I loved my stay at Kendal Hostel. Staff were friendly, and helpful. My room was very comfortable with sunshine pouring in each afternoon. It was quiet at night and full of acivity during the day, with people using the pool table or watching tele, or making meals in the well-ordered, clean kitchen. A pleasure to be there!

A really good place to stay. The only disappointment is the showers, which don't really have the power to ease the aches of a day in the hills

Had an amazing time at the hostel, visiting Kendal for a concert at the Brewery Arts Centre which proved to be in the hostel's backyard! Loved every minute of my stay - the staff are friendly and happy to offer suggestions on what to see and do, go for meals, etc. The hostel is right in the centre of town so ideal for a weekend away, also great for a longer stay as a springboard into the Lake District as it's close to Windermere and Coniston. Will definitely recommend this hostel!
