Fantastic stay. The first luxury to go in a hostel is normally space but this place felt spacious even though I was in the 30 bed dorm. So well designed for travellers with personal lockers, own USB and plug, lots of toilets and showers, large equipped kitchen and social space. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location for seeing Edinburgh.

Stayed in a private room with my friend for the Fringe Festival - perfect location! Clean and tidy room. Only suggestion is they need to replace the pillows - may as well have not supplied one, mine was so worn and flat.

Excellent location and amenities, very professionaly designed and run. It's also in a perfect location to see most of the main sights if Edinburgh and very centrally located for Fringe Venus. The only issues I had were the construction across the street starting early in the morning (nothing they can do about that), and the there was a very bright exit sign over the door that lit up my bed all night. Otherwise, perfect for a few nights in town.

Fantastic place!! Location is brilliant as long as you are able and mobile. Very chilled vibe, love the bar/cafe. The staff are friendly and reasonable, and seem cool. My room (the tower) tended to get hot and sweat smelling, but that's expected when 30 sleepy people have been enjoying the middle of the Fringe Festival. The sheets, and bathrooms were very clean though. Also love the little touches, like the little bedside shelfs and powerpoints. Definitely would stay again!

due to the good location in a Nightlife zone in the center with a lot of bars it can get quite noisy on the weekends (depends on the room). I met a lot of cool people in the hostel, very diverse people stay there, very good atmosphere. staff is very helpful and friendly. the bar/cafe for hostel guests only is also quite nice for a coffee in the morning or a beer in the evening.

This was a nice hostel, but quite large and the street it was on is quite busy at night so be aware of that if noise bothers you. I enjoyed the areas we had to hang out and socialize, as well as the food options at the hostel. The bathrooms could definitely have been cleaner and there are only two washers and two dryers for the huge hostel, so just be aware of that. I really liked the large lockers to keep things in and the location was very central to the old town!

LOUD!!!! SO UNBEARABLY LOUD! Fair warning this place is super loud will clubs two doors down until 5am and construction literally drilling rocks at 7am. The construction is supposed to last a year so if you’re planning to stay in 2019 go somewhere else. The place is great but I didn’t get any sleep all week. This is saying something because I’m not a light sleeper.

Besides that the location is great it's a pretty average hostel. Staff we're ok but not as helpful compared to other hostels that I've been to in the past. Would of been helpful if they could give some good pointers on places to go, especially when the fringe is happening.
