I had a fantastic stay at Kim's Cabin, I cannot speak highly enough of my experience there! From the moment I got off the bus, Mr. Kim was a fantastic host, offering to pick me up from the bus stop down the road & then drive me to get food. The location is absolutely stunning. . Mr. Kim helped me plan my itinerary, even writing down the bus information in both English and Korean, and the breakfast was homemade and delicious. I was travelling alone, and they gave me a free upgrade.

I had a lovely stay at Kim’s hostel. I was looking to be out of the city and in a quieter area, so it was perfect. I will say that it was a little bit difficult to find initially and i had to ask people to point me in the right direction. It’s a short bus ride from Seongsan, where you can hike the volcano, walk along the ocean, get dinner, etc. Also the Kims gave recommendations for serveral other places in the area and gave me directions. Overall a great stay. Thank you!

I couldn't have had a better stay here. It's set in a gorgeous hillside location, ~kilometre from the nearest small village and bus stop. Run by a husband-and-wife couple, you're going to have a charming stay - they'll help you plan a route around Jeju, and prepare you for any hikes - particularly Hallasan. Frankly, they went above and beyond any reasonable hostel expectation and made me feel at home. Bonus marks for a cute dog. Will almost certainly return here!

Mr. Kim and his wife are amazing hosts!! They picked me up and dropped me off at the bus when I arrived late/left early. They were so welcoming and always fed me a hearty breakfast to begin the day. Mr. Kim helped me plan a full day of activities with bus routes! The actual place itself is very clean and cozy. It is set in a peaceful neighborhood and still a quick walk to the 201 bus stop which can take you to many places around the island. I would highly recommend staying here! Enjoy your stay

Had a Great stay here. Mr Kim is very knowledgeable and helpful, and his guesthouse has a nice, homely feeling. Good location too, close to the olle trail and bus stop to anywhere on the island. No restaurants in the area though, so be sure you’ve eaten when you arrive late.

Kim's Cabin is just gorgeous, in a rural location surrounded by beautiful scenery. Kim was hugely helpful, suggesting an itinerary for us and giving us lifts to nearby attractions. Though the location is remote, there is a bus stop nearby, and the cabin is a great location for visiting Udo Island and Sunrise Peak. A big thank you to Kim and to Mr. Kevin!

The hostel owners were incredibly friendly and helpful! Definitely has a homestay sort of feel. Delicious homemade breakfast everyday, plenty of help planning daily itineraries, and lots to see nearby. I was worried about going to Jeju as a solo female traveler who doesn’t speak Korean, but none of those things matter if you stay here! Fair to note the hostel is about a 15 min walk down a long dirt road, so it may not be best if you’re looking for nightlife. It’s perfect for a secluded retreat!!

The owners were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Mr. Kim drove us from and to the bus station many times and helped us to find around and plan our days during our stay. It’s a bit far from the main road but the location adds to the charm of the place.

The price is cheap if you come in a group--$50 split 4 ways---and you're in a room only with the people you came with. The hosts go above and beyond to make up for the distant location, serving homemade breakfast and offering rides when they can. In the area is Seongsan Ichulbong, which is beautiful. I also loved Bichui Bunker. And I recommend the restaurant, Honja Pork (혼자 돼지), which you can walk maybe 15 minutes to from Kim's Cabin. It has good food and a fantastically cozy-nerdy atmosphere.

Mister Kim has been the kindest and most attentive host I've had through my trip in South Korea. Although the location of the cabin is great for its quietness, beauty and into-the-wild vibes, it was difficult to get around quickly as we did not rent a car. It is possible to visit the island with buses, but it takes a lot of time and is energy-consuming. If staying at Kim's cabin, I'd recommend to rent a car first.
