Enjoyed a double room with en suite. Clean and nice hut surrounded by forest. Shower temperature was good but pressure only ok, Still fine though. Room had a safe and porch area with fan which was needed. Very hot. Mosquito panels didn’t cover all holes though. Pool area was great but pool not the cleanest. So close to nature with monkeys and giant moles all around us. 20min walk to the ruins! WiFi good in all areas and staff really helpful. With big lockers for storage on check out.

Beautiful outdoor cabins. If you’re the sort of person that’s bothered by having to walk outside to get to the toilet and shower, then maybe this place isn’t for you. Close to the ruins as well. More of a campground than a hostel. Food at the restaurant is not great, but there are other places nearby in El Panchan.

De los mejores hostales en los que hemos estado en todos nuestros viajes. El staff súper atento a lo que necesitáramos. El wifi fue el mejor que tuvimos en todo nuestro viaje. Despertar con los monos aulladores fue increíble!!!! Super recomendado

The staff here are lovely and the overall hostel is a nice place to stay, very relaxed, can’t fault it other than food being quite expensive.

Great location in the jungle at the edge of the park to the ruins (collective to the ruins stops right outside). Lovely pool and sweet cabins with big lockers. The staff are really nice too. The restaurant is very basic and there are no power outlets in the cabins, so bring a very good power bank or charge your phone in the restaurant. Wasn't a huge problem, just a bit annoying.

    Fabulous

Kin Balam is in an incredible setting. The pool area is really nice. The beds were comfy and everywhere was really clean. The location is great for getting to the ruins etc. But there’s not much else around. The restaurant wasn’t that great and they charged for water - which I haven’t experienced anywhere else in Mexico. Also, they weren’t particularly kind to our friend who was really unwell and needed to check out late - tried to charge a lot of money to do so.

Very nice spot, close to the ruins and in the nature. We were not so lucky with some staff that attended us. They were not really helpfull and sometimes seems annoyed... But we had a nice stay!

The little huts are nice and it's a good place to hang out at the pool and relax after walking around the ruins for a few hours. We walked up to the ruins and took a colectivo back afterwards - both easy options. Food at the restaurant isn't the best - better to go to the place across the road and enjoy the live music and better food there. Receptionist ordered us a taxi to get to the bus terminal for a good price.

    Very Good

Really cute cabins to base yourself for the ruins. There’s a community across the road that’s called El Panchan that is much more social and has good food and music, although you can’t book online. The hostel was really quiet, almost empty in the evenings, but is good to chill.

    Very Good

The dorm room was way too small you couldn't put your rucksack there and beds really close. Very rustic and too basic for me as no curtains in room for privacy and totally open to outside. Showers were freezing and actually no water at one point. Swimming pool was quite dirty at end of day. The pictures of this place make it look better than is. The staff were lovely and location good for visiting Palenque ruins and jungle noises!
