Second time staying at this place, it’s beautiful and it has everything you need! A warm pool, nature trails, a lagoon, clean cabins and bathrooms, it’s just perfect! Even the location, right in the middle of the center and the ruins 🤍

Lovely place in the jungle surrounded by the sounds of wild life and the jungle. Little bit out of the way but super easy to get to with taxi or collectivo. only downside is there is extra charge for everything from water refill, breakfast, to staying in the space after checkout, to laundry facilities- but handy to have laundry facilities! Nice chill place with nice vibe

Quality! It’s more like a resort than a hostel. Make sure to bring some earplugs as the howler monkeys can be extremely loud! Good food and bar. Even have a small shop on site. Highly recommend.

The location is amazing. You really get some intense jungle vibes there. The only thing which annoyed me was, that you had to pay for everything extra (water, locker etc.) But it seems that is coming in every Palenque hostel.

This hostel looks so pretty. Pool area is great to hang out. Great location close to ruins. Italian restaurant across the street has good food and live music. Some dorms are a long walk from the pool and common area though - not great in the dark. And maybe bring earplugs or the howler monkeys might keep you up at night ;) And I feel like sometimes the website indicates its fully booked but they have beds anyway so maybe contact them directly or just show up to check.

Kin Balam is a really good place to stay if you’re planning on visiting the Palenque ruines. The city is 10 minutes by colectivo so overall an okay location. The accomodation itself is really green and you really feel surrounded by nature. The pool is a nice place to chill and it is really easy to meet people. Definitely a basic but good place to stay.

Upfront: We slept in dorms. The dorms became super hot and humid (no A/C and all and we're in the jungle, duh) but at night it would actually cool down nicely (so take a bed with window access). Just thought I should let people know, before they book there. The rooms get ridiculously hot. Also, another manko: No fresh water to refill. Only to buy. I feel like that would be nice to have in that environment.

This hostel was a beautiful place to stay. Perfect for exploring the Palenque ruins and day trips out to waterfalls. Pool was beautiful and private rooms were really nice however the shared kitchen was incredibly basic and not clean. Pretty quiet atmosphere but lovely and chill - a great break from the sightseeing. Restaurant is okay, fairly average. The restaurant across the road has a better atmosphere but also fairly average food.

    Very Good

Beautifully located right at the entrance of the national park, you can hear zicadas, birds and howling monkeys especially at night! It's clean and the cabañas are well protected against mosquitoes. Otherwise it's pretty much a hotel vibe though. The restaurant is a bit pricy and you have to pay for everything extra, storing your bags after checkout (90mxn) and even refilling water bottles! This seems greedy and is usually free even in much cheaper hostels. A nice place for a night or two.

    Very Good

Staff were great but my room was ready 30 mins after check-in which is already pretty late at 3pm. Then when I got in, staff kept walking in and out for some unknown reason while I’m trying to sleep. The restaurant is overpriced but the location is great and everyone is really nice. Better for families rather than backpackers
