Many of our users cite the downstairs pub as a highlight of their stay here, with one of our visitors saying they 'would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone, especially students, as it is awesome and in close proximity to Temple Bar and other hopping places in Dublin', while another guest said the hostel has 'lots of people to meet but is far enough away [from Temple Bar nightlife] to be quiet at night'.

we stayed 1 night here in seperate dorms and while mine was great and very comfortable, my friend was in a very large dorm with basically no power points so she had to charge her phone outside on a portable charger in order to have her alarm set for the morning. I feel like power points for each person is a basic necessity in a hostel nowadays. other than that, things were great and so was the free breakfast. it is a very large hostel but organised super well.

This hostel was average. Some of the staff didn't know what they were talking about/were disorganized. The rooms were fine. Have to pay for storage lockers before or after check-in which is a bummer. Breakfast was good.

Private double room - very basic, small and bed wasn’t very comfortable, doors and floors very creaky so you could hear everyone moving about the hostel. Bathroom facilities were fine with plenty of hot water and breakfast provided was simple but good. All the staff were really helpful and polite and location was great!

Great location! Stayed for two nights, beds where a little stiff but not bad. Exactly as expected, had lockers to rent for an additional 2 euro's a day. Breakfast included P&J's and cereal.

Although it is hard to beat the location of this hostel, our stay could have been more enjoyable. Some of the staff were friendly, but the majority were very unhelpful both for local suggestions or directions. They closed the common room at 10pm, preventing any socialization among backpackers and gave us zero place to hangout. Not only that, but they were very strict with quiet hours and needed to check our room tickets every time we returned in the evening. The atmosphere was cold.

Awful! Rooms were filthy, bathrooms were disgusting! I had an en-suite which came with a bathroom which was super gross and never used it. Bed was comfortable Room was super hot, couldn’t open the window, no air conditioning! Heater kept coming on so would be dying of heat. Never staying here again

I have never seen such outrageous petty and unprofessional behavior at a hostel. The whole idea of customer service has not arrived there yet. At 1030 AM as 3 of us were sleeping, the housekeeping lady entered and turned on the light. I asked her to please turn it off and she refused. I then complained to the front desk and they just argued, screamed at me and were very hostile. They later went on to harass me until check out time. Do not send your most hated enemy there.

Do not stay here if you are for a place to relax after traveling in Dublin. While the location is really convenient, the hostel is not worth it. It smelled like old sweat and the bathrooms were gross. It was like a locker room turned into a hotel. The beds were hard and the pillows were flat. Spend the extra quid to get an AirBnB or a proper hotel, this place was not worth the price.
