Many of our users cite the downstairs pub as a highlight of their stay here, with one of our visitors saying they 'would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone, especially students, as it is awesome and in close proximity to Temple Bar and other hopping places in Dublin', while another guest said the hostel has 'lots of people to meet but is far enough away [from Temple Bar nightlife] to be quiet at night'.

This hostel was a great option for me and my friends. It is near the center of Dublin and near a Cathedral, so it is in a great, convenient location. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. I don't know if this is common to all hostels but the shower system is a bit irritating. Having to push the button every ten seconds to have the shower water start up again was very tedious and annoying. But I understand it's probably a mechanism to try and save water. Also the staff were very nice and helpful.

Found it to be a very social hostel which I’m very pleased about! Rooms were tidy, very loud traffic noise but overall great stay

Tip...if you're a woman I suggest single sex dorm. I was next to the radiator. No hope of kicking off the covers. Guys can walk around in underwear and it's normal, not so for ladies. Never thought that far ahead. Decent condition, clean, more fuss. Warm, clean, good wifi, helpful staff. Stairs are safe but it's scarily high by the time you get to the 3Rd floor

Great location. We had very comfy and warm beds. Hot showers, though push button which only lasted about 10 seconds which was a little frustrating. Helpful staff, and great options for things to do. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed in a private room with two beds (bunkbeds). It was small, but cute and comfortable. The location was great. Breakfast was just cereal or toast and coffee. My biggest complaint= The restrooms were NOT clean. I could tell they didn't clean them every night because there was the same clumps of hair every night in the shower. The toilets also barely flushed so they were always clogged.

We found this hostel to be very dirty and overcrowded. The air in our room was disgusting, we all woke up feeling damp with condensation dripping down the window--no ventilation at all. The facilities do not look or feel clean; the showers are filthy and so are the toilets. The kitchen area is a disaster in the morning, with people crowded wall-to-wall. Would definitely never stay here again. It's well worth spending a little extra money to stay in Generator Hostel or something similar!

All male staff were rude (one female staffer was kind) and all staff really all seemed to hate their jobs. The bathroom down the hall was atrocious, with sh*# filled toilets, pi$$ drenched floors and an overflowing garbage can that wasn't emptied once. The rooms were small and cramped, the doors shut very loudly and you could hear everything through the walls and ceiling. I've stayed at many hostels all over the world, and this was the worst. It was rated so highly, but this is a hard avoid.
