Had a really nice stay at Koalas! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, nice clean facilities especially toilets and showers. The 4-bed dorms were a bit small but they have AC and beds are comfy.

Good for the price. Friendly staff, though they seemed to have trouble finding my booking. Room wasn't four ppl like advertised and the door didn't lock, but this didn't bother me and the place seemed safe. Most ppl seem to be using it as long term accommodation rather than a hostel, so it's harder to find ppl to chat with or hang out. Kitchen good. Didn't use the showers so can't comment.

Good facilities, great location. However, rooms are extremely small. I stayed in a 4 bed room for 2 nights, but I had to move to another hostel. The 11 m2 room prevent me from opening my luggage while just one other roomy was standing up.

Room dirty and very basic but good kitchen. Unable to park car in the car park and didn’t feel right leaving it on the street overnight. Shouting and fighting outside the room on the street all night.

I arrived at Koala’s on NYE with a friend and had booked for three nights and were put into separate rooms, even though we booked together. The lockers in my room had all been taken, even though it was only a four bed dorm. My friend’s bed hadn’t been made yet, even though we arrived at 3pm. We both felt uncomfortable in our rooms since there were aggressive people with their swearing, most likely because of the alcohol they were consuming. We checked out the next day and won’t be returning.

Wouldn’t stay again. We arrived after booking a private room with a double bed to be told they don’t have one but will put us in a 4 bed dorm, not ideal. Fridge room is limited, 3 out of 6 washing machines/ dyers were out of order. Room had no window so even though it was cool outside we had to go ask reception for the aircon remote which felt like a waste of electricity. The hostel doesn’t have many cups so we had to use our water bottles and keep cup for all drinks which is such a simple and c

Nice staff member checked us in however filthy room covered in trash, dirt & dust. Dirty socks, used tissues, toenails, hairs left around our bunk from the previous people- the staff had only made the bed not cleaned the room. The curtains were not big enough leaving a metre of uncovered window next to my head. Lots of 40+ year old Australian fifo workers living here. NOT for backpackers.

I exchanged emails with staff to say I would be arriving a day later, which I was told wasn’t a problem, and when I arrived after 4 hours driving to find out that they have already given me and my friends bed away and cancelled our booking without letting me know. The hostel was dirty, the organization was little to none, and I would highly recommend not going here and paying a couple dollars more to have a much better value for money hostel. DO MOT WASTE TIME AND MONEY TO STAY HERE
