Property Description

Are you looking to have the best experience in town, with a mix of local friends and people from all around the world?
Do you want to stay in the best location in town with the best parties?
The colonial building era KulturBerlin hostel is located right in the heart of Sucre, two blocks away from the city center with the beautiful Plaza 25 de Mayo, where you can find grocery stores, ATMs and Restaurants. If you walk two blocks further, you will find the central market, where you can find almost everything. Our front desk is manned 24/7 and the staff is at least bilingual.

KulturBerlin offers a diverse evening program all week long, where you can, as hostel guests, participate for free and enjoy unique shows every day:
Monday: Game night and pizza night (20:00- 12:00)
Tuesday: Parlana (Language exchange) and Beer pong contest (20:00- 1:00)
Wednesday: Salsa night (21:30 - 02:00) with free lessons!
Thursday: International dance show (21:00 - 02:00)
Friday: Bolivian national dance show +party (21:00 - 03:00)
Saturday: Full on party (21:00 - 03:00)
Sunday: Movie night (21:00 - 23.00)

Our Hostel can offer you a cafeteria, bar, restaurant, night club and a green garden.
On our menu you will find local, German and international specialties to fair prices (notice: We don't have a guest kitchen, but feel free to bring food from outside and use the restaurant area to consume it.) Some of the weekly program takes part in the night club or in the green garden, especially at the weekends, where also locals and guests from other hostels will join the parties (notice: In some of the rooms located on the first level around the atrium you might hear some of the music, but there are also rooms unharmed by the parties in the garden or higher)

In contrast you can find a garden area in the backyard as well as a roof terrace where you can enjoy some quietness. Next to the front desk you can find a travel agency (Rocla) which offers local tours in and around Sucre, also a language school and a laundry service.

The KulturBerlin hostel is good for meeting fellow travelers, having a good time and exploring Sucre, an UNESCO heritage city, and its surroundings, although you don't have to leave the hostel at all, because it will provide you with everything you need.

Really nice hostel, on a great location in sucre! They are a party hostel but it’s not overly well organised, there isn’t actually anything organised for the guests they just get a lot of locals there to party! There is a massive courtyard area way out the back of the hostel which would be awesome to party and hang out if things were organised, most of the guests didn’t even know it was there

Fantastic hostel! I moved here after discovering bedbugs in my original hostel. The room was spacious with lockers & the shower was hot with great pressure! The staff were friendly & helpful. The restaurant is actually quite nice & has activities on each night. I was in a room on the roof & the noise from the restaurant was bearable. Nothing a pair of ear plugs wouldn’t fix!

Great location, close to the main square. Free breakfast with plenty of fruit, cereals and breads. Beds are comfortable and showers are warm. Nice garden area to relax in. Wifi only works in common areas.

Amazing breakfast, best one I’ve had, and very affordable, close to the centre. On the bad side, hot showers are 50/50 Saturday night party is focused on locals, and the 8 bedroom dorm is two 8 bedroom dorms separated by a glass door with one exit only so almost a 16 person dorm.

    Very Good

Strange experience. The place is more of a restaurant than a hostel, with lots of locals hanging around during the day and evening (more than backpackers). The rooms are very large and always clean. There aren't very many cosy areas to relax, so everyone just sat at the restaurant/cafe tables which was a bit weird. There is a nice outside area but it rained the entire time we were there so it wasn't used by anyone. The Saturday party, again, was catered more for locals than those staying.

    Very Good

The private room we booked had a leaking sink which kept the bathroom soaking. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and needs a mattress change. Otherwise, the private room was conveniently located at the back of the building away from the common area. This was good because it’s a very social hostel with events on until late, so we managed to get some sleep. If you had a dorm up stairs above the common area, note it will be noisy.
