I can't recommend enough! Location is perfect, very close to Ohara museum and canal, also a slide away from stores and 10mins away from Kurashiki Station. The staffs are GREAT! Very warm and kind. They will help you with what you need - I was planning my trip to kojisan with their help. Some of them speak very good english. Don't I wish I stay longer! Their check in is at 6:30pm, try to come on time to join their introduction session. It was a great way to know each other.

Undeniably one of the most amazing guesthouse I've ever stayed in. Conveniently located inside the Historical Quarter which was really beautiful and within walking distance to Kurashiki Station. The staff were amazing. I had such a fun time every night I was there! There is a good mix of japanese and foreigners staying in the guesthouse and everyone was really friendly. It definitely helps if you know Japanese (or have an interest in the language)! Thanks for making my trip so memorable :)

This hostel was great to meet new people. When you check in everyone takes a group tour together. It allows you to meet everyone easily. The facilities were also nice and a cafe is downstairs with traditional dishes and desserts.

Nice hostel/guesthouse. Was in an old traditional Japanese house which was really nice. Woven rice straw floors and paper walls. Everyone who arrives that day checks in together in the evening and gets to know each other a bit which is nice. During the day downstairs is a cafe, so it can be strange navigating through that to get to your room. Traditional Japanese breakfast for an extra charge which was nice. Rice, raw egg and miso soup. Was given a hot water bottle each night which was lovely.

The staff was super friendly and helpful but some of the info on website wasn't accurate. I was expecting a 4 person room with traditional futons like the photos. One room was like that but two of us ended up in a 6 person room in small bunk beds. It was pretty noisy and bright in the room at night, so I wish I had known to bring earplugs and an eye mask. The location in the historic district is great and it's not too hard to get to from Kurashiki station.

This guesthouse is very traditional Japanese, the walls are very thin and the dorm doors don't lock. There is nowhere to put your valuable. The atmosphere was good, mainly Japanese guests, which made communication hard. There is an introduction round at check-in, which everyone does at the same time. Staff is incredibly nice.I didn't feel well the day I checked out, so they let me lie down during the day.Overall clean, but not very modern.Unfortunately you can hear everything outside.Good location.

    Very Good

Not alot of privacy in the room. It's just one big room you sleep on the floor with a very thin futon like thing. There really isn't much to do in okayama. The town is very cute though but I wouldn't say you need to spend more than one night there if you want to see it. If youre looking for a social hotel vibe this probably isn't for you. It's very slow and relaxed. The staff was excellent. Really nice people.
