By FAR the best hostel I've stayed at Japan! From the first moment you enter, you feel really welcome. The reception guy is so helpful and polite... He showed us with every detail the whole Ryokan! This place has free amenities unlike any other hostel. And it has a public bath (small) pool that is a really nice surprise. It works from 5pm till 8am! Its in a very quiet place. It also has an awesome garden that you can enjoy your hot or cold coffee or tea. The dorm is awesome. DO COME!

Was tempted not to write this review so it doesn't get spoilt or change haha! My stay here was so perfect! The manager was truly the best, helped me with my bags and any questions- could tell all the staff genuinely care! It's far cheaper than a hotel and with those comforts and chill time you crave after months of travelling! If you want to party and meet loads of travellers maybe look elsewhere though. Totally charming and lovely! I wish I could have stayed longer!

I’ve been to Japan about five times and have stayed in about fifteen different places during those times. This was by far my favourite. The atmosphere was amazing, the owner was kind, and the city was beautiful. The free bicycle that I used worked wonderfully. I loved wearing the yukata and the baths were great! It was a great experience and I hope I can return someday soon!

Definitely one of the best hostel I have ever stayed. Mr Hiroshi is a wonderful and helpful person! Thanks for your small gifts (Japanese snacks). We really enjoy our stay in this place. Such a pity we could only stay one night. Their bed is the most comfortable one compared to other places I have visited during my trip around Japan. Will definitely visit here again if I have the chance to visit Nagoya again. Thank you so much!

Wow! This place is beautiful and the staff is so, so friendly. I stayed in the female dorm where the beds were extremely comfy which was much needed after traveling for over 20 hours from the US. You get lots of free goodies like slippers, a tooth brush and a chance to wear a tradition kimono. I didn't get a chance to try the baths but I did spend a good bit of time writing overlooking the garden which was peaceful. Oh, also there's free coffee/tea!

Such a great place to stay! Beautiful traditional guest house, the onsen is amazing, free tea and coffee and lockers to store your belongings before and after checkout. One of the few places in Japan that allowed us to check in before check in time. Extremely friendly staff who even gave us a bag of Japanese snacks to take with us on our departure. Definitely stay here if you get the chance!

One of the best shared places I’ve stayed and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in! Had an extremely good rest! Booked the female dorm for my stay during the City Marathon. Was impressed it has only 3 beds! No bunks!!! Has a shared toilet and shower at the end of the aisle. You can use the Japanese public bathroom which I really enjoyed. Free coffee, green and barely tea. Loved the garden! Super friendly staff and extremely helpful! Best place to stay in Nagoya!

Amazing facilities great to have private baths. Staff are really helpful and nice. Beds are comfy and the free bike hire is great as the location is not the best. Atmosphere is not great as it is a very small guesthouse but that is expected.
