I typically am the MOST budget traveler, needing to stretch my money for an entire year. Let me say: this place is worth every single penny. I’ve never made a better hostel decision. The location is perfect, the rooms are quaint and warm, the breakfast is outstanding (his wife makes the yogurt!!), and he & his family are truly incredible. Please just stay here. You’ll end up staying longer than you anticipated!!

Great place to stay overall. Rene is a great host and has excellent tips for places to visit not just in Valparaiso, but all of Chile. I was also very pleased that he told us about great restaurants and sights to see that were not as tourist-oriented. Our 3 nights at La NoNa were quiet and we slept very well too. Thanks Rene!

La Nona B&B was such a relief to visit. It was so homely but given my own space. Felt like a home away from home. I was so appreciative of little touches like helping dry my wet clothes and huge breakfast and being given some to take as lunch on the bus. Would highly recommend, especially to any weary backpackers.

Excellent location. Close to restaurants and the world famous graffiti. Breakfast consists of homemade yogurt, fruit, muesli, bread, sandwich meats/cheese, tea and AMAZING coffee. Rene is an excellent host, very informative and accommodating! He’ll answer any questions and has advice on all things Chile. Atmosphere depends on how many other travelers are (there’s only 3-4 private rooms) and whether they want to socialIze or not. I was lucky enough to experience pisco sours and a bbq at Rene’s.
